Unai Emery - Ex-Arsenal Manager

Hopefully Freddie can salvage something from the season. Top 4 is 99% gone, his mission will be to steady the ship so we can at least get 5th and work on a permanent option that will convince Aubameyang and Lacazette to renew.

Imagine Arsenal and Spurs not handling mediocrity and sacking their managers early while we are happy with it.

Who will replace him? Read Arsenal want Nuno but that might be tough midseason.
Arteta or Allegri I think. Though that might be me biased by what I/ other Arsenal fans want.

That said, reading the above, it sounds like it could be 'give it Freddie till end of the season'... I'm not sure that's a very good idea, unless they're very clear that this is a temporary appointment.

It's almost like we're following the United template for 'how to succeed a long-term manager', though we've skipped straight from Moyes to Ole.

Good as gone. Emery strikes me as a good bloke, very dignified and not a bad manager. But this is only heading in one direction, gone by Monday I reckon. I actually think Arteta is most likely, certainly moreso than Nuno.

 Felt same when I read Ljungberg might be appointed as care taker.

Sums up many of our deluded fan base. Spurs having a ruthless owner is why Poch got shown the door. The Arsenal fans pressurising the board is what's getting Emery the sack.

We could finish 10th and the fans would call it a circumstance to longevity we've got neither useful owners and realistic fans which fundamentally provides Solskjaer all the time in the world to further stagnate our progression.

So Arsenal are replacing their manager before Christmas with a Scandinavian legend of theirs.

Allegri would be a great coup for them, he'd sort out their defence, especially with Saliba coming in the summer and make them a solid team that are hard to beat.

Arsenal showing how it's done while we have a bunch of deluded fans who are partly at fault for the situation we're in right now.

Portuguese press have some rumors of Arsenal trying Jorge Jesus, but I really doubt it because his English is very poor.

Can't see Rodgers swapping Leicester for arsenal.

Stan Kroenke has made Arsenal an unattractive proposition for most top managers. Leicester are in a better position, have a better culture surrounding the club and have better prospects of building on top of what they already have.

Arsenal will have to pick from the same shelf Tottenham picked Pocchetino off. Up and coming managers eager enough for the step up that they will be willing to work with the kind of financial constraints that effectively makes it impossible to compete where the fans believe they should be competing.

The time to sack him was over the international break. They really thought he would survive past December?
They were really hoping that he'd manage to get a few wins and EL qualification yesterday before getting destroyed by City. He could not even get that, so there's no choice.
