I think BBC are going to start projecting a Tory majority soon.

@Don't Kill Bill electing an SNP candidate does just as much to keep the Tories out of power as electing a Labour MP in Scotland. And Scottish voters did their part by taking away Lib Dem seats. It's English voters that have put Cameron back in number 10 whichever way you slice it, bizarre to argue otherwise.

UKIP seem to be tallying up a lot of overall votes. It will be interesting to see what their overall vote share in England ends up being.

No way that can happen now. He's essentially destroyed any popular support they have.

If the Tory's need a handful of MPs to push them over the line, it'll be down to a vote from the Lib Dem membership I think? Because Clegg will surely stick to his line of coalition rather than deals, stability vs chaos.

Ming Campbell talking about 1931....incidentally the year he celebrated his 50th birthday.

Monster Raving Loony Party have the following results:

  • 0 seats in total.
  • 0 seats gained.
  • 0 seats lost.
  • 0 net change in seats.
  • 358 total votes taken.
  • 0.0% share of the total vote
  • 0.0

Ming Campbell looks utterly depressed. The Lib Dems are finished for the rest of his life.

Edinburgh South. By about 2000 over SNP.
Interesting, the other Edinburgh seats may see a similar pattern thanks to Tory support. G'wan 3 extra seats!

Looks like Fester McVey might lose her seat in Liverpool.

Feck it, I need to sleep. Up in 3 hours. Night all.

Look forward to seeing the Labour majority when I wake.

Good to see Jack Straw's son didn't win. I hate the idea of political sprogs standing for Parliament.

Times rumour: Clegg has lost.
