Checked the odds earlier today.. pretty much guaranteed win for the Tories if those are anywhere close to being accurate.

They'll have to be wrong by a crazy margin for it to even be close.

Could the conservatives be betting on labour to scaremonger their supporters? Or is that illegal (and way too tinfoil hat)?

I suspect people are getting too giddy from the Labour side and there are a lot more bets on a hung parliament than initially perceived.

Bookies can also manipulate it. People are more likely to bet on something at 10/1 than they are at 50/1.It’s win win for the bookies in that scenario.

#youthquake trending on twitter.

Anybody have to queue with lots of youngsters at polling, or just being overhyped on Twitter?

I have to disagree. Email your council and they’ll send you an application form, post that back, get postal voting pack , fill it out and post that back. You can opt to postal vote on all upcoming elections of all types until further notice on the application form too.
We were doing it from abroad, so everything took a little longer. We applied online, had to send something on an attachment (can't remember what) and then the packs arrived - we couldn't rely on the prepaid postage from our part of Italy, so I spent an hour in the Post Office (not exaggerating) to send our votes back by express post!

First time voting in the UK and I was surprised by how different it is to voting in India . No security, no inks ,no id checks and ballot papers

Voted Green in the end. If there was a need to stop the Tories I’d have voted tactically, but they’re not winning here so I was able to avoid voting for both of them. Awful election.

Our polling station was really quiet when I voted at 5.30 and was still quiet when my wife voted five minutes ago, compared to 2017 when it was heaving. I live in a big student area and wonder if they’ve all gone home and are voting elsewhere?

I think people assuming the high turnout is all youth are going to be disappointed. I reckon there’s going to be a lot of gammon our voting who usually don’t give a shit about politics.

If you were to use Twitter as a judgment of the election result, you'd think Corbyn would win a landslide election

I am on a night shift in a hospital and will be following the results with all the patients waiting for hours to be seen or get beds . Think Tories will get a majority unfortunately

This is my concern too. I know what high turnouts generally tend to favour Labour, but the country has a worrying number of "Get us out" cultists who've decided to adopt the Church of Brexit as their religion.

Can I watch? No homo obviously. For research purposes.
Sorry, was just off at the Klan meeting discussing "Why is there no International Men's Day?". Again. Sure as long as you dress as Greta Thunberg. Holding a "Homeless and Hungry. Please Help" sign written in biro on a cardboard box lid. And let me strangle you. For research purposes.

I feel like if you're subscribed to get Tory emails you're likely planning to vote.

Do the bulk of Tory voters even know how to use email?

...I'm just joking you snowflakes, obviously Yahoo are still in business for a reason.

I read a post on Facebook (I know) saying that the Tories included in their manifesto (page 48 apparently) plans to make sure that the courts can't block them from doing things like proroguing parliament in the future. Apparently the Nazi's did the same thing in Germany in the 1930's.
