BVB means Ballspiel-Verein Borussia (Borussia club for ball games). The correct club name is "BV Borussia 09 e.V. Dortmund", with "09" pointing to 1909, the year of the club's foundation.
Ballspielverein Borussia = Ball game club Borussia
'Borussia' is a latin word for Prussia.

Bizarre knock for Schweinsteiger. Watched a couple of replays and looked so innocuous. Didn't look like any contact from the other player and didn't seem to land awkwardly either.
