Irrelevant point because we haven't tested ourselves against them. The concentration, discipline and tactics we played with in both legs against Madrid was a different level to the gung-ho attitude we had in the group stage or anything we'd done in the prem.

Also the best team on paper doesn't always win the final. It all depends on tactics and how they're executed on the night. Add a bit of luck and its speculative, but there's no reason we wouldn't have a fair crack.

Its fair to say that rating Bayern over one game isn't fair and I never claimed they aren't great. I specifically said that based on what I've seen thusfar in the game, we wouldn't have been outclassed the way people had claimed. We aren't that far behind Bayern. If we have half a functioning wing with the same output from defence, Central midfield and strikers as this season, we'd have been a very serious threat.

Furthermore, our the Barca that played Bayern this season aren't the same Barca that faced us. They have gone a bit limp and its visible. Plus, the way we set up, we're very prone to a team like Barca. But Bayern, like Real, would suit our style of play very well.

I'm not claiming this Bayern team isn't the best in the CL this season. I'm just pointing out how much people tend to overrate oother teams and underrate ours simply because - 'our centeal midfield is shit.'

True, you never know how we would have fared v Bayern without actually seeing the play against each other. Assuming rooney's 12/13 form and a none is tent Nani, what's your speculation on how we would have fare against them?
