UEFA Champions League Final 2013

jesus. rvp did not create it out of nothing, he was played in by Rooney and it was a very good chance. Giigs had another great chance at the end.

As for the game at OT Welbeck missed a sitter when we had 11 and with 10 we absolutely hammered Real. What game were you watching

Selective memory. United can't be as good as others unless we buy a central midfield. Its like some sort of weird go-to response. In both games, until the Nani sending off, we were much much better than Real.

I think they don't rate our midfield, not many do.

These two teams show much more urgency in the middle of the park than us, we definitely need to improve on that aspect.

Realistically it's the same people who gave us no chance against Madrid and said we'd get battered. Funnily enough after that game those same people stopped mentioning Madrid as one of the superior teams to us and narrowed it down to Bayern, Barca and Dortmund. Quite comical how even some of our own fans shit on our own team. Always the same nonsense though. "This team would smash us!" and obviously "THIS LEAGUE MUCH BETTER THAN OVERRATED PREMIER LEAGUE. ENGLANDZ SHIT!".

Good first half. Wouldn't go as far as saying it was brilliant, but certainly good. Both keepers have been quality.

fecking hell ITV are jokers. Why do they get things wrong with their coverage almost every time? They keep playing ads in the middle of the match.

Erm... What's your point? Based on what we've seen so far, Bayern defence doesn't look THAT good and I doubt we'd have THAT much trouble creating a chance or two. I mean, seriously. How much do you'll underrate our team?

Underrate? By claiming they are currently better than us and that it would be hard to break their midfield and create chances? Hardly

Megaphones and drums in Stretty might not be a bad idea after all.

'hammered' them whilst creating nothing. We looked comfortable.

Rvp had no right to almost score from that angle.

Aaaargh, the feckall midfield argument again. You started by saying we'd struggle to create chances against both teams. But that's weak conjecture considering we've created chances against all good teams we've played so far in the season including teams with supposedly great midfields - City, Chelsea, Madrid etc etc. In fact, we've dominated against three man midfields in many games. Bayern's midfield isn't close to being that of Barca of 2009-11 where they kill you with possession. We'd have been just fine playing in this finals.

Least Brendan Rodgers is right about something in his comparisons with Liverpool and Dortmund. Both teams are prone to suicidal moments of passing it out from the back.

While creating nothing?? Did you miss the string of saves by Lopez or had you switched off by that point??

I've got SKy and ITV and didn't, for one single second, consider watching this on ITV.

Me neither. I posted this in a thread where someone was asking whether people were watching it on Sky or ITV:

Sky Sports. No Adrian Chiles and little chance of missing out on coverage of the game.

And sure enough...

Look, it's safe to say United were very, very good this season but were never as good as these two teams are right now. However...and this is a huge caveat...if Rooney and Nani were in top form I'd feel very good about our chances against either of these two sides. But as we all know, Rooney and Nani never hit their top stride this season.

I'd have to stream through my XBox if I wanted to use Sky and I can't be arsed doing that, I'd rather watch the game without a few seconds delay.

Eh? What're you trying to say? Posters here made me believe that Bayern were akin to Barca of 2009-11. They're not even close to being all conquering. I actually think we'd have made more than a good fist of if we'd been in the finals.

They've broken plenty of records this season and just hammered the same barca side 7-0. They clearly are the real deal. But they have lost multiple finals already in recent years so theirs going to be a mental battle there they'll have to overcome. My point though is that you shouldn't be rating teams over a single game. Also, to be fair, barca were probably delighted to play us in those two finals, a team which in comparison to their brilliant midfield had a pretty shit one. Neither of these teams matches up that poorly against the other. Actually funnily enough barca matched up pretty poorly against bayern who exploited their poor defence on the counter and on set pieces

We summed up.

Martinez should've scored. Shades of 2012 for Bayern. They've had some great chances.

If there is one thing in football that is really embarrasing its the fact that footballers are such play acting soft cock pussies sometimes. Other sports dont suffer as badly from this total soft cock acting when even the slightest touch is made.
