UEFA Champions League Final 2013

Best 0-0 I can remember seeing in ages. That lad in the centre for Dortmund, Gundogan, is an absolute joy to watch. Looking forward to the second half.

Yep. Not like we scored the most goals in the league or anything. We looked completely incapable of creating against Real too.

Creating chances against Real doesnt mean much. Ask Dortmund. Creating against Bayern is a totally different matter. Ask Barca.

We actually created very little over the two legs vs madrid and scored from a set piece and an own goal.

Except that elbow. Based on what I've seen so far, both teams seem to have been overhyped for the past 2 months. United and other top clubs aren't that far behind Bayern.

Both teams are overhyped based on a European cup final? That's what you're rating them on the basis of? I hope no one did any such thing on the basis of our finals against barca.

A set piece is a chance created, the own goal was a chance created. Welbeck missed a sitter. Van Persie missed a sitter. Rooney missed a very good chance. Varane tripped Evra going through on goal. Ramos wiped Evra out in the box. Giggs hesitated. Vidic hit the post. Lopez pulled off a couple of world class saves.

Created very little, what a load of shit.

Good half of football with plenty of opportunities for both sides. Although Weidenfeller is having an excellent match so far, Robben should have converted at least one of his multiple chances.

Is this the 4th major final Robben has bottled? Spain, Inter, Chelsea, and now Dortmund.

Really? We had at least 3 chances in Madrid whilst playing defensively and were better than Real at home

We would be a match for Dortmund surely, but they would have caused our defence a lot of problems too. No point discussing what would have been, just watch this game and enjoy if you can!

Definitely but so many to choose from on Dortmund who have been terrific, Subotic & Hummels, Reus, Lewa, etc.

Not sure how Ribery wasn't booked, would've probably been a bit harsh to send him off. Close to a penalty on Müller on that reverse angle - he's a bit of a cheat I've come to realize

Someone other than Robben gets alone like that and it's lights out Dortmund, I fear. Dortmund are impressive but sure are missing Götze

Erm... What's your point? Based on what we've seen so far, Bayern defence doesn't look THAT good and I doubt we'd have THAT much trouble creating a chance or two. I mean, seriously. How much do you'll underrate our team?

Eh? What're you trying to say? Posters here made me believe that Bayern were akin to Barca of 2009-11. They're not even close to being all conquering. I actually think we'd have made more than a good fist of if we'd been in the finals.

Does anyone know what that music was that Sky just played before they went to their current ad break? It has no lyrics so I can't work it out. I'd love to know.

I didn't really think that much of it during the game, but looking at it now: holy shit, that's a red card!

Especially from the ref's angle - it looked like a clear elbow form where he was standing.

Rvp one off the line was the only big chance, rvp created another out of nothing by shooting with his right onto the bar. That is it. The whole match at ot, even with eleven, we created nothing truly dangerous apart from a hard cross that got a fortunate end.

Hummels has been shite

Great half. I have been glued to my seat. I fear for Dortmund though. They might rue the chances they could have done better with.

I think they don't rate our midfield, not many do.

These two teams show much more urgency in the middle of the park than us, we definitely need to improve on that aspect.

I expect Dortmund to come out hard this half. If they don't produce in the period they're on top, it's curtains

jesus. rvp did not create it out of nothing, he was played in by Rooney and it was a very good chance. Giigs had another great chance at the end.

As for the game at OT Welbeck missed a sitter when we had 11 and with 10 we absolutely hammered Real. What game were you watching

Probably. We more than cover for that in other aspects. And to be fair, our central midfield has been quite excellent this season. Our midfield two were giving Madrid quite a bit of work in the Round of 16. I think our peformances at the end of the season when the league was won have distorted people's vision of how good we were when we wanted to be,
