UCL Round of 16 - First Legs - Feb 18 - 26

Mourinho was right when he said this was the weakest Barca in years. They don't look threatening at all like they used to.

Messi's played too many games with too little rotation and it's catching up with him now.

Are those posters who claimed United got out of a really tough CL group still going to peddle this myth?

Leverkusen finished 2nd. How on earth?

Barcelona used to press opposition constantly forcing them to concede possession. This side looks long way from that.

Maybe Guardiola is actually a better manager than I gave him credit for.

They stopped that pressing thing since he left. Now Bayern do it better than anyone else.

Barca have resembled us at times during that half. Bucket loads of possession around the halfway line and on the edge of the box, but no real incisiveness. It's like a team of Cleverley's all holding the ball well but not really penetrating. The majority of their attacks have been crosses down the left as well...

They're playing City the way they play a solid Liga team, just strangling all the life out of them and then expecting to smack them when they lose concentration or pick up a red card.

I've changed my sound setting on my TV from "clear voice" to "movie" and the difference is immense. For full enjoyment, make sure your tv settings are correct for the second half!

I think City will win quite comfortably in the end, they haven't been great on the ball but on the rare occasions they have used it well and got it into the box Barcelona don't look comfortable. It'll be 2-0 full time I think.

What? He hasn't convinced you? Have you been in a coma?

Did anyone really claim that? I've read some argue Leverkusen couldn't be that bad as they were second in the Bundesliga, at a time where the gap with Bayern wasn't that big. And surely that wasn't an outrageous claim.

Hmm, maybe.

I really have no idea what Leverkusen are like in the league, but I've seen them three times this season and they have been beyond awful every time. I appreciate that isn't the biggest sample.

They're the second best team in Germany. Obviously the Bundesliga is second rate and Arsenal should stroll to victory tomorrow.

Won't they?

They're the second best team in the Bundesliga, which is where all the cool kids are at.

Leverkusen have a history of bottling it when they face the big sides, I heard. Is that correct? Shaktar were probably the toughest team I saw us play in that group.

Let's reassess at the end of the season before statements like that are made.

And let's also not forget that Bayern are about 16 points ahead of them. It is a distant second.

You'd think Ibra was left-footed by the power of that shot.

He's in astonishing form.

He should play in a better league than Ligue 1! He has to come to the premier league, he's won so many trophies. If he can win the PL and then maybe the bundesliga, that would be an achievement!

Playing Kolarov is holding city back. Its the sort of choice in player that affects the whole mentality of the team.

No, it's pretty clear Arsenal have no excuses. They've got to be getting past Bayern.
