Aye, noticed it as soon as the draw was made.Dortmund are the other sticky team in the bet. Also Chelsea away to Gala won't be easy. But its a very good bet

there is a stat in the CL that pretty much suggests that if you lose at home in the 1st leg 99% of the time you go out. There will be at least one upset in the return legs of the games played today and yesterday. Because of statistics
yeah I dont do betting and dont understand odds most of the times. That explains why I thought thatIt'd be bloody good odds for 4 games!
I get the feeling Chelsea or Dortmund will do me.
Bayern have the best balance between long ball, tiki taka, wide play and counter attack in any club in the world.
The stars look lopsided. Can I just say that that Bayern kit is majestic.
They had that, last year.Bayern have the best balance between long ball, tiki taka, wide play and counter attack in any club in the world.

A couple of years ago when I heard the stat it was like only 2 times ever.
Perhaps someone knows it exactly?
@Damien ?
They will suffer the same inevitable fate as City after conceding that late goal. Credit to them though, like you said, they've done well considering the circumstances and had Ozil scored that penalty it would have put a completely different complexion on the game.Given the circumstances, Arsenal did reasonably well tonight. Their goalkeeper will always be prone to that kind of recklessness, Ozil was terrible and Sanogo was understandably naive. They did very well to counter that and keep themselves in the tie - up until that Muller goal, at least.
They had that, last year.
This year pointless passing has increased way too much.

Edit: Also relevent:"Inter's win over Bayern Munich last night made them just the second team in Champions League history to win a two-legged tie after losing the first leg at home (after Ajax in 1996)," notes Sam Allen. "But was this a more common occurrence back when the tournament was still just the European Cup, before its rebranding in 1992? My suspicion is that the feat will look less impressive when put in this greater context."
Not at all, Sam – if anything it looks even more impressive. In 37 years of European Cup football prior to the Champions League rebranding, only three teams managed to overturn a deficit sustained in the home leg. In other words, Internazionale are only the fifth team in 56 years to progress after losing the first leg at home in Europe's top club competition.
Next up were Ajax – who remain the only team ever to lose by more than one goal at home and still progress. In February 1969 they were beaten 3-1 by Benfica in Holland, but two goals from Johann Cruyff helped them to win the return by the same margin. That meant the quarter-final tie would be settled with a play-off game at a neutral venue, the Stade des Colombes in Paris. An incredible 40,000 Ajax fans travelled to France, where they saw their team run out 3-0 winners after extra-time.
Cheers
I was sure I saw it right. Not only he's a fecking flop but as well he hates Arsene. Stay classy Wojtek.
How are you getting "He hates Arsene" from that?

Bayern have Kroos, Thiago, Martinez, the Schwein. We have Cleverley, Fellaini, Fletcher, Carrick.
They have Ribery, Robben, Gotze. We have Young, Valencia, Kagawa.
They have Lahm, Alaba. We have ??
I'm watching the last 30 minutes of the Milan game and they look the better side, they might to it.Cheers
Yep its a hell of a stat.
Out of the 4 games, Milan probably can do it but I doubt it.

He's just been sent off by the ref... and walks over to Wenger and calls Wenger a wonkard?..
Come on.
I think it was a red card, but Redknapp's reasoning for it it absolutely incredible.
"Is it a definite goal-scoring chance, Jamie?"
"Yes, of course it is, Robben controlled a similar ball against Dortmund last season. He's shown it before"
Yes, Jamie, what he did last season is completely relevant to this foul. He's a right prick.

Camera-man trying to stare into Wenger's soul.

A referee... Graham Poll?.. said that, when calculating whether its a goal scoring oppertunity, you take the players speed into account. For example, Ronaldo taken out at the half way line from a through ball might be, but Emile Heskey might not (not the example he gave). So for another player (say Andy Carroll) it wouldn't have been a goalscoring chance ? These guys get paid to display their footballing ignorance ...
