That SW Tweet about Ando?

That we want £4.9m for him but that there are no takers at that price. The Fiorentina manager has publicly declared that they do not want to take up the option to sign him.

The article also blames United partly for his decline as he was played in the wrong role. Personally I feel that it is all on Ando's shoulders. He just doesn't seem to be professional enough to me.

I followed Anderson a lot even before his United days, more than most at least, and he was played horribly out of position, he was a second stiker/AM at Porto, never had a great scoring rate he'd be up that end of the pitch with his energy, so yes United did play him out of position.

However, I can't imagine us putting Ronaldo at RB and him sulking or not trying as hard, it's in Ando's mind as well, and perhaps it's fair to say he isn't the most ambitious out there, again I'm speculating but if he hasn't fulfilled his potential, a lot of it is down to him as well.

Kind of sad that this year should have been his prime, with the World Cup in his homeland. The Golden Boy who never grew into the man.

"Yeah I think so because they do have a good relationship," Kamperman told Sky Sports News when asked if he thought van Persie would captain United next season.

"At the beginning when van Gaal took over as the head coach of the Dutch national team they had to find their position a little bit. But after that it went really well and van Persie was very positive about him.

"When van Persie was over here (in Holland) last month because of his injury they talked a lot about the World Cup and the way they like to play in Brazil. So yes he does have a very good relationship with him."

Think a certain someone will be 'angry and confused' by that if true.

He's by far the most logical choice for captain. Van Gaal is never going to choose Rooney over Van Persie to play up top so long as the Dutchman is fit.

Indeed. They already have a good working relationship as well. Roo will still be p'ed off though as all the sounds coming out the club was that it would be him.

Quote from Pep going round to the effect: 'Good luck with your new club'. Chelsea bound?

I thought he was pretty much nailed on to leave anyway? Lewandowski will be the main man in a one striker system, and he won't settle for playing second-fiddle. It is interesting how he has been left out of the squad though for tomorrrow.

I saw something last week that Pinnochio could only really have told a max of 8 lies before the weight of his nose would have meant he'd have fell to the floor.

Bollocks. If Phil Thompson's still standing, then so is he.

It's true, Pep has been trolling Mario the whole year and on the top of all that, left him out of the squad now and just wished him good luck in a new club.
Way to go Pep, way to go.. :annoyed:

I like Pep as a coach but sometimes he really acts like a jerk.
I will surely be a big Dortmund fan in a final.

Could have gone a safe route and picked maybe Carrick or someone (assuming Evra is leaving) but LVG is really nailing his colours to the mast.
And so he should, he lives and dies by his decisions and it will be a shame if one of those was wasted on appeasing Rooney like Moyes spent the totality of his reign doing .

We will have issues if Carrick continues to be first choice midfielder after this season. Safest pick might have been De Gea.

Oh absolutely, dont get me wrong definitely not advocating for Rooney here.

I said the same thing yesterday, DDG is the only player who was consistently reliable throughout the season (Mata being exempt as he only played half a season).
