Tomorrow at 1.15pm Louis van Gaal holds a press conference. It will be about Netherlands World Cup squad. Man Utd fans shouldn't expect much,

The Mail reported that Woods was off earlier tonight when they broke the Rio news.

Spoke with Moyes earlier still very very bitterly disappointed he was sacked by #MUFC

Spoke with myself earlier, was still very very bitterly disappointed he even got the job.

LvG should be announced very soon, I guess? I hope? I wish?

What the toss has the LMA got to do with anything?
I guess it's a way for everyone to meet up and have a few quiet words. That, or it's just an event for journalists to exploit and chat shit over.

Interesting, that means they aren't going for Laporte?

Assuming so. I'd like Laporte here but we probably need more experience. It also says that Luis Enrique is being sounded out to take over from Martino too, even if they win the league.

And the overall LMA Manager of the Year* is ....... Brendan Rodgers (*Across all four divisions, voted for by all the managers).

Only trophy he'll get his hands on! Hahahaha!

You can say what you want about Chelsea, but they've been outstanding in the last few transfer periods. Costa for 32m, Zouma 12m, Matic 21,5m selling Luiz for 30m

True that. A little scared.

Essentially because they've not been at their collective best for a fair few years now. Still not easily replaceable of course, but it's not like we're losing their 2010 versions.

True. But we know how much Jones, Smalling and Evans panic. We need the calming influence of Rio, Vidic. I remember Rio and Vidic being out in Fergie's last season and the other three were shambolic. Then came Vidic and he definitely had a calming effect which sorted us for the remainder of the season.

Not really. We played with Rio and Evans for the most part and about half of the goals we conceded were from crosses as neither Evans or Rio can head the ball. Smalling and Jones spent large parts of that first half out injured. You're right in saying that Vidic was great on his return, mind.

So hes not just disappointed or even bitterly disappointed, hes very very bitterly disappointed oh my poor Dave.

Rarely has a manager deserved the sack more, he was given an amazing opportunity and he fecked it up. He got to experience what life is like for top managers at an elite club a privilege few coaches are afforded, and he got a nice big fat pay off for his troubles.

He can have absolutely no complaints in my opinion.
