Jamie Jackson is annoying but he does seem to get it right most of the time, still prefer Ogden though.

Does he actually call anything that then happens though?

Or is he just right in saying nothing will happen?

We can only hope So'ton isn't dumb enough to reject that bid. I mean Lallana is a good player but not worth 25m.

If Southampton get 25 million for Lallana surely they will not sell Shaw. That's the only worrying bit for me. I want Shaw.

At the end of the day, it's £30m on two squad players. Not really worth it when they could just buy a top quality centre half for around that fee.

Well Wenger was right in saying that the marker basically opens in the middle of July this year. If we want the top players, they're likely to be in Brazil for a month so we'll have to wait. Let's hope Woodward acts quickly when it's needed and secures the players Van Gaal wants.

Southampton are selling all their big assets why can't people get that into their heads?
Probably something to do with the fact there is no indication of that happening. I'd be surprised if they didn't sell 1 or 2 of their assets. However, they will not get rid of "all their big assets" like you assume. Certainly not.

There will be other left backs available for £30m, I am sure. Let's not worry about what business other teams are doing.

Good business for them if they do get Moreno, Lovren & Lallana. Don't really rate Can though and I don't think he'll turn out to be anything special.

Think their manager probably left because they were willing to sell these players. The stories were going round that he was willing to stay at Southampton if not players were sold. He then leaves a week later, Lambert is sold, we apparently resume talks over Shaw and Liverpool are going after the rest.

Will Shaw still be as interested in staying at Southampton now the manager left, Lambert and Lallana on his way out?

He'll probably want to really push through that move to Chelsea even more.

That was almost a full year ago!

He was signed in 2011 and two years later 45% of the transfer fee was unpaid. It's not unreasonable to speculate 12 months later there could still be monies owed

The money owed was from both Fabregas and Song's transfers. Song left a full year after Fabregas so it's acceptable to assume most of that €15 million is from his transfer.

Besides, if Barcelona still owe ~€10 million to Arsenal as of June 2014, it's likely they'd just write that off the potential Fabregas transfer, regardless of who's transfer few remained unpaid.

Also, I'd severely doubt that €10 million would be enough to convince Barcelona that Arsenal can be his only destination.
