I don't know if you noticed, but last night despite having Mata, RVP, Rooney and Januzaj, we still managed to start Valencia and Young.
Do we have space in this squad for Reus? Of course we fecking do.
We did not start them because three of them are not totally match fit and one of them needed a rest.
When all fit reus and the aforementioned four is too much, none will be happy to sit it out in the biggest of games. You are talking a squad game but you don't buy of the quality of Reus to join a rotation policy with four other world class players or face the fact that one or more of them will not be happy and look for other options.
I sincerely hope that some other club snaps up Reus tomorrow and quash any possibility of him joinin or that he extends his contract for another 5 years with Dortmund.. either that or Rooney has to feck off.

If we assume a front four that he has to fit into with the players you mentioned, in an average 50 game season rotated fairly they would still all get 40 starts let alone sub appearances and injuries taken into account.
40 starts from 50 games for all five players i mentioned in a situation where everytime 1 player will be left out of the 5. Somehow I think you have made a decisive and disgusting error in your pornorific thoughtprocess ... heh heh heh.

It's that simple really, I do believe that he will. Mata could easily take his position and boom, we have a place for a winger that can score goals and has got bags of ability/potential.

I understand the need for squad players which Reus is not one of. He is a star and has as much potential as Januzaj and is farther in his development.

You're entirely missing the point and I suspect it's on purpose.
Over the course of a season, a 50 game season, we are talking about each player as an average between them, starting 40 games.
You ask any professional if they are happy with 40 starts and they'll tell you yes. Then you've got sub appearances on top of that.
That's assuming that all 5 are fit all season, if even one is injured or any sort of length of time then you'd still say we are light in quality.

The only players that would miss out and be considered actual squad players and not first choice are Valencia, Kagawa, Young and Nani one of whom (hopefully two) should be off in the summer anyway.

Nah, Tancredi is talking shit I guess, loaning Zaha makes sense while loaning out Nani makes very little of it. We've still got CL where we can't use Mata and we would have to rely on Young, Valencia and Januzaj on the wings really. Young's season, just like Nani's, is interwoven with injuries, Januzaj has got very little experience in CL ( that doesn't really matter though, does it ) so that leaves Valencia as the only 'winger', and we all know how he plays.
I'm not counting Kagawa as a winger here by the way,.
Why are we trying to loan out Nani when we are still in the CL and Mata is cup-tied for it?
