Things will kick off in here massively if this is true
I trust van Gaal.

Just for the record, that's my view as well. I just know that if this is true, certain posters will be considering leaping from their windows. If LvG doesn't want Kroos then so be it.
What did we 'know?'We knew the Kroos stuff already.
Would have liked Kroos but I can sort of see why LVG might have turned him down. I'm not sure a playmaker like Kroos is what LVG wants in the base two of his midfield. Herrera has creative qualities but he is also very industrious and defensively sound. I'd imagine LVG intends to pair him with a similar type of player (Strootman?) or an actual DM. The main creative force will be whoever is playing in front of them (probably Mata).

Kroos is not mobile enough to play in a cm position in a LVG team, would be very frustating to see side-ways Toni at United.
They don't think he's worth it. They also have Thiago, Goetze, Martinez, Schweinstieger, Rodes, Lahm who can also cover/play in his position, so they aren't desperate either.Bayern are unwilling to pay Kroos the kind of money he wants, why is that?
Guardiola and Bayern don't feel Kroos is worth his generous demands. van Gaal, who is familiar with the player, and Manchester United don't feel Kroos is worth pursuing. Barcelona and the inexperienced Luis Enrique are interested in Kroos for a relatively modest fee. I mean, perhaps Kroos isn't this world class midfielder some are hyping him to be?They don't think he's worth it. That LVG was not interested in Kroos. The media was briefed as much and then the day after Kroos ran to the papers and said "I didn't want to go there anyway".What did we 'know?'
Carrick was never mobile, which led to our slow passing style. Kroos obviously isn't the same but he isn't very mobile either, and doesn't look to go past players. LvG wants a box to box player, who is mobile and can go past players, kroos just isn't that. It's not like he doesn't know about him, he obviously has his reasons if he turned him down.It will be really sad to see Kroos go to Barcelona, especially for 20million Euros, which is pretty much £16million
Why are people saying Kroos isn't mobile? He looks pretty mobile to be! He can shoot, tackle, pass, cross, play CAM, CDM, CM so wdf does mobile mean? I know he isn''t the fastest player but neither Carrick, so why the feck do people think he's mobile?
I still trust LVG's judgement though, but I will be pretty pissed off, to see a world class player like Kroos go to Barcelona for peanuts.

Nah mate, he definitely is world class. He pretty much anchored the midfield by himself against us, he was excellent in the CAM/CM role during the 2011/12 season and has been fantastic in his distribution role this season. He's also been great in the world cup so far.Guardiola and Bayern don't feel Kroos is worth his generous demands. van Gaal, who is familiar with the player, and Manchester United don't feel Kroos is worth pursuing. Yeah that wasn't the point of the tweets, it was discussing Barca's apparently legitimate interest in signing him. That LVG was not interested in Kroos. The media was briefed as much and then the day after Kroos ran to the papers and said "I didn't want to go there anyway".
Blind hasn't played in Midfield for Holland in the World Cup. They play with two holding players and Sneijder.I've not seen great mobility from the Holland midfield bar perhaps Blind. I don't see why Kroos couldn't fit into a LVG side. At all.
Spot on. With van Gaal the system will come first, then the players.Moyes' plan seemed to be to pair Kroos with a DM like Carvahlo. That makes sense in a way but Moyes did seem to like his midfield to stay quite deep. I guess LVG wants a bit more dynamism from his two base cms, which means there's no room for someone like Kroos. Players like Herrera, Strootman, Vidal and Schweinsteiger are all more industrious than Kroos, no?
It's easy for us to say "I don't see why he couldn't fit in to LVG's team" but the truth is managers can be very particular about what they require in a certain position. I mean how many Chelsea fans would've guessed that Mourinho was going to get rid of Mata for that very reason? I suspect LVG is at least as precise as Mourinho when it comes to getting balance in a team, "fitting a player in" won't be the way he works.
Holland are slightly different as he has to work with what's at his disposal but even there he placed enough emphasis in the specific qualities Strootman brought to then feel he had to change formation once he got injured. This guy knows what he wants.
He's played left-wing back in a 3-5-2 so it's just semantics really.Blind hasn't played in Midfield for Holland in the World Cup. They play with two holding players and Sneijder.
Sanchez gave him a torrid time in the last game, he beat blind for fun. He's played left-wing back in a 3-5-2 so it's just semantics really.
How is that relevant to what I said?Sanchez gave him a torrid time in the last game, he beat blind for fun.

He scored a lot of goals despite being a defender in my save. Probably FM2011
Blind has no pace and strength and that for me is his weakness. Holland kept a clean sheet because LVG is a master tactician. Is that why Holland kept a clean sheet and Blind's been praised for his world cup so far?
It was something that was on my mind from an earlier post, badly timed though, sorry. How is that relevant to what I said?
