How can a club be willing to meet a valuation of €27 -€34m?

That's 7m difference. Surely any offer would have to be more specific than that?

I'd be gutted if he went to Liverpool, he has world class potential and is just a fantastic player already :(

Dear Mr Perez,

I am delighted to inform you that we are willing to meet your valuation for a Mr. Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, of between 5,000,000 and 150,000,000 Euros. Please expect to receive a wire transfer for the agreed amount by 4pm BST tomorrow, at which time you will be required to release the player's registration for international clearance. It has been a pleasure doing business with you.

Best regards,

Edward Woodward

I hope it's bullshite, he is far to good a player to sit back and watch go there of all places.

People on twitter responding to that seem to be doubting he actually works for the BBC...

Edit - Just seen above tweet of his. Bullshit then!

Not in The World of Bullshit, it wouldn't.

Judging by his Welbeck tweet he is a Liverpool fan so ya can't call him reliable when it comes to news about Sanchez. He just wants them to sign him.

Fair enough I suppose. Personally can't fathom being a football fan and not enjoying the world cup...

Aye even if you don't like international football feck knows how you still couldn't get into the World Cup. It's brilliant.

the tournaments are brilliant.
qualifiers are utter tedium, that just disrupt the great premier league action and will be the worst ever now they've made the euro's harder not to qualify for.

Sanchez will be an interesting one. If he's genuinely for sale and we want him I'm pretty confident we'd more than likely be the main front runner. A matter of whether we actually want him though and are willing to push it through, not convinced we do in all honesty which is a shame because he's quality.

What about Juventus taking Sanchez? Is that not being discussed anymore? Surely if Juventus want Sanchez they'll get him? He's lived in Italy before, they're a massive, massive club with some great players there and obviously have high ambitions.

How would that work then? They've agreed to pay an asking price that could vary by €7m?
Look through the guys tweets, he's not a real journalist. He's a liverpool fan pretending to be an itk or whatever.

To my shame I just saw the BBC in his name and saw fit to post it.. it's quite obviously bull but having being linked with him from several sources I'd still be pee'ed if we didn't make a move for him as well.

Nice for the seller, though.

-The price is between €27-€34m.
-Done!
-Okay, €34m then.
Some of these "itk's" really don't think their lies through. Or they just think everyone is really thick, which is a pretty accurate assumption to make to be fair...

Shaw was looking like it was a certainty before the world cup after that 27m bid just after the end of the season but now I'm very doubtful about it all. If everything was so cut and dry this deal would have already been completed World cup or not. I don't know where these journalists are getting this confidence from regarding Shaw when they didn't even know Herrera was coming until Cadena Ser in Spain started reporting it.

Yeah, I'm into the World Cup, when I stated I wanted it to be over with it was just a figure of speech.

Yeah wasn't on about you in that situation as I agree, can't wait for it to be over because of excitement for what next season will be like etc. Dunno how people can't enjoy the World Cup at all though.

This Oliver Quinton chap looks to be way too unprofessional in his tweets to be working for the beeb.
