We knew we needed CBs but still chose to wait all summer. Yes LvG, it only takes 24 hours to sign a player, it does, if there are any decent ones left.

If those 3 players go somewhere else this window then the fans will go crazy. If a team don't want to sell, fair enough, but if they are signaling that they are available we should be in for them.
Only logical explanation is that they simply won't pay the asking price. I mean Van Gaal named him specifically and that we don't have a player like him.

Well obviously. But in all seriousness that performance highlighted that we need players. We weren't terrible, but we weren't top 4 standard either.
Might depend on wages. If Nani is on more then he's wasting more resources while being equally as useless to us. Though i don't think he was awful against Valencia, we have a lot of mediocre midfielders right now. All that said, it's also down to what the other club we're negotiating with actually wants.

I don't think you'd be able to flog him off to Tamworth let alone another pro club. He'll be a free agent with no club next year.
The Fellaini deal will repeat itself with Blind this year. Another plan D, just because Woodward couldn't get the job done. If Van Gaal were so keen on Blind, he'd be a United player since a few weeks. Same that we thought about Fellaini last year.
I can see Blind defining van Gaal's reign if you get him.

well thats the whole point of being a good negotiator isnt it? If Fiorentina could take him on loan then why not sporting. nani can be used in a bigger deal especially if he gets more playing time next week. why should we pay sporting so much money for an unproven player?
