Really unnecessary from Moyes. Taking team to 7th, losing so many games and losing badly, he can't expect more time. Anywhere else and he would have been fired much earlier. He would have had case if say we missed out on CL by a whisker but we were way off. Anyway, that is topic for other thread..

He was shockingly bad but obviously it's something that's hard for him to accept.

He dragged the Champions down to 7th and out of the Champions League. What's his idea of failure? Stupid fecking prick.
Although Talksport say he hasn't been as scathing as you might expect. It seems he had the same problem LvG is now having Mr. Ed Woodward not signing the players he asked for. There is one common denominator here.

Especially with the British Football Managers Support Group™ on his side.
The biggest problem with Moyes that he was incapable of fixing anything. He tried nothing, he showed nothing. His idea of fresh ideas was getting us to chuck a million crosses into the box. LVG lost his first game ( just his first game ) but it's clear that we're changing as a team from day one.

So Nani, Anderson and Zaha out? Ok. That has been said a million times in the last three months, apparently we are as shit at selling players as we are at signing them.
That is the major problem, especially if Ed has been told to sell some players before the board will release more money. He's not very good is he?

No surprise here. These quotes from Rodgers add to the stories of Falcao and the likes: "I’m pretty happy with the strength of the squad at the moment, though ideally I’d like to bring another striker in before the window closes. Someone with experience who could go into the team straight away. Not necessarily someone for the future, someone who could make an impact now.”

Is that even possible with third-party owning Rojo?

Yeah, the 3rd party will end up as the losing party here. It might be a deal like 10m + Nani but that would be a loss business for 3rd party.

Rickie is your go to guy!

The main owners of Rojo won't agree.

Yeah, unless somehow they get part ownership of Nani but even that will be super complicated stuff and this will be Nani's last 'big' move so there is no incentive for them.

Now we need Woodward to talk to muppet lord Perez. Ballbag said we playing a chess game. I'm predicting that we want Madrid to lower the price because we are the only club who are after him realistically. As PSG can't finance the deal. So we are leaving it late in the hope that Madrid might drop their price. Which for me is unlikely as we saw with Ozil last year.

Fits with Samuel Et'oo. :p

I don't see what Liverpool could offer that Real can't and they really want him.

The main owners of Rojo won't agree.

They are happy to sell their share for 15 million euros. They'll get that anyway.

Nani loan would be a sweetener for Sporting on top of the 5 million euros to agree to the deal and not be stumbling blocks.

Not sure Nani would agree though and we would have to subsidize his wages.

I see Glazer favourites such as "the numbers don't work" have appeared in the Sundays today.

Is anyone even surprised?

If someone watches this then please update...

Nothing too interesting. Critical of our transfer policy and confusion to why the deals haven't already been done, especially where we know we are short.

Di Maria was mentioned and Burt said we can't make the numbers work for that at the moment. No mention of anyone else really.

All a bit doom and gloom with one line that worried me being that we don't have the contacts to make these deals happen.

Woody 2 weeks to sort it out, otherwise repeat of last year.

Quite ironic seeing as the truth is the media no longer have the contacts at the club to verify these stories.

Not sure about that. We still brief various people just perhaps not in as much detail.

There were strong rumours Woody needed Fergie and Gill to sort Mata.

I have a horrible feeling Woody is going to feck this up again.

Surely we can get Gill or Ferguson to have a word with Mendes. They are both directors after all.

This is the telling line. Woody and LVG to a certain extent have thus far failed to make signings happen in what, 4/5 weeks? We now have 2 weeks left of the window, clubs won't want to sell for fear of not being able to replace. What worries me is that we've allowed it to get to this stage where we've already played one game and lost for us to suddenly think "ah well we better get the cash out". I agree to a certain degree with what LVG wanted to do in terms of asses squad players etc but I thought the whole point of keeping Giggsy on board was so that he could have an input and surely tell him just how bad some of them really are. We've wasted far to much time this summer, just like last summer. Anyone who is expected massive deals in these last 2 weeks I think are kidding themselves.

Totally agree, it really is depressing stuff how last summer is repeating itself.

The idea that he will sort out in 2 weeks what he has been unable to do in 3 months is ridiculous. Without someone acting on our behalf, our squad will remain the same.

Doesn't Anderson have one year left on his contract? A loan is pretty pointless.
