But what went wrong at United? Why was it impossible? ‘I’ve tried to analyse it,’ he says. ‘I’ve been listening to Louis van Gaal and he has been saying similar things. For instance the fact that he wants to give every player an opportunity to show what they can do.

‘We tried to bring players in during the summer transfer window but they didn’t materialise. It certainly wasn’t for the lack of trying. It wasn’t indecision. The complete opposite.

‘It’s been well documented that we wanted Fabregas, Bale and Ronaldo. There was talk of Ronaldo when I first arrived. We were close to getting a couple of major names. I’m not getting in a blame game here but things just didn’t materialise. I had taken over from the most successful manager in history. The chief executive had taken over from one of the most renowned administrators in the game [David Gill]. So it was a new job for two people.’

He does say this and that the sacking was handled properly etc.. but i gues she is bound by confidentiality agreement beyond.

Yes but I'd like to know more during the course of the season. As it turned out our old players were past it, and we needed reinforcements. The long term plan discussions etc.

Because apparently Woodward wasn't accessible often enough to gauge what the situation is and the feeling in the hierarchy.

Jesus wept. Unless we're planning on signing Moyes as a backup defensive mid can his ramblings be posted somewhere else please?

Would the club really confirm to him that we're after Benatia? I seriously doubt it. IF he spoke to them, the only reason they'd confirm an interest in Rojo is because it's already well known that he's handed in a transfer request due to him wanting to join United. So theres no point in denying interest there is there?

He's just another one of the many many many people who have no idea whats going on this summer

Why would the club have any interest in a top class highly rated centre back. That would just be daft. It makes perfect sense to like the one who is embroiled in a clusterfeck of third party versus club battle though.

Use this thread for posting transfer related tweets in. Use your head as to what to post. Don't post anything from a clear bullshitter like Agent_"Insert name here", as giving any sort of publicity to them is exactly what they want. Don't post any tweets by any of the following but if you can think of any other names to add to the blacklist, feel free to say.

If you can add any tweets found to the Tweets Only thread too it'd be appreciated. If there are any questions, please address them in the Admin/Mod Help forum

Can we follow the rules above please and not post tweets of the blacklisted twitter accounts. Ta.

2 weeks to go Woody...don't let us down!

Not sure how FFP works really, but how much would we need to spend this summer before we got in trouble? Another £150 million or so?

That's enough for Vidal, Di Maria, Benatia, Blind and Rojo!

Anyways, I can't wait for these next 2 weeks to be done with...it's the hope that kills you.

I posted it because it was retweeted by a respected journo. If a mod wants me to delete I will.

Marcotti is a respected journalist now?

If someone like Marcotti is not "respected" then we should just have tweets from BBC when stuff is actually done. Every single person is a bullshitter clearly.

Don't believe twatter simple as that. Anybody can post on it so it is full of bullshit, only interesting tweets are those that are being tweeted by alot of sources simultaneously and gathering alot of momentum. The only "reliable" tweets are the ones that are all over twitter and the first smoke of a deal actually happening. The rest is just bullshit.

Malachians was banned because people kept spamming his other tweets rather than posting his transfer tweets.

I read this twitter thread religiously since the start of the World Cup. It's fecking dreadful, never read such a load of fecking shit in my life. And yet here I am, can't leave the cnut unread.

The funniest bit about that Moyes interview is the inverted commas over the 'thousands' of letters of support.

It reads like the 'interviewer' can't even quite get his head around that one.

Not sure what you're trying to indicate with this? Marcotti is one of the best around. Him retweeting that tweet means feck obviously, but still, he's well respected and one of the best you'll come across.

It sounds like our season so far. We spend time "targeting players" and "watching this space" while other clubs target the space behind our back three.

Malachians was being backed up there by journo/ twitter darling Daniel Taylor so should he still be on blacklist?

I think he's ok, sometimes does rant about the Glazers and lack of transfers, but don't we all

 Moyes most definitely failed. Not cut out for this level. He pushed us further back.
