Yeh, when I say 50M I mean Vidal, Di Maria, Cavani ...etc. The first is ridiculous and based on their belief we are desparate ( which may be true). For Di Maria, just because Real Madrid spend stupid money they inflate the value of players they don't actually need anymore. For Cavani, PSG want Di Maria so need the dosh.
The majority of the world's best players are around 40M in value, regardless of position, with many going for the range 35M-45M.
If they keep stalling, I suspect we will. It's not as if 10m would make any difference to our finances. We're that desperate for defenders.

All the midfielders we've been linked with have seemed absurdly expensive. Carvalho for 45, Khedira has crazy wage demands afaik.

I'd rate vidal at 50m as the best deal of a bad lot. They hold all the cards and overpaying is about the only bargaining chip we have imo.
