Personally, that would infuriate me if we made just two signings - even in critical areas - following the season we've just had and the hype surrounding this transfer window. Our previous manager grossly underachieved and we now have a competent man in charge, but there are a number of areas in the squad to address and we need to spend significantly if we want to give ourselves a good chance of reclaiming a top four spot.

Yeah, understand what you're saying. But with the state of our midfield, and the fact that we've made one signing there in 6 years (and that was bloody Fellaini), if we managed to bring in two midfielders this summer then I'd be happy. We obviously need other areas strengthening but if we sort out the central midfield this summer then thats a good start. Although admittedly the defence would still be a major concern.

Ander Herrera's agent: "The transfer to United is done. The decision was made yesterday by Herrera after hours of talk with his family."

Arsenal news really thin on the grounds last couple of days. Have really looked as well.

Wenger waiting until the first game of the season until he notices his team needs someone again?

If they are to do anything it will be after result of CL qualifier is known

Why?

Surely regardless of the outcome of the qualifier. Arsenal need to build on last year and strengthen in order to stay competitive for the Champions League spots. As well as trying to mount any sort of title challenge.

Regarding the David May tweet- last year Anthony Cotton of Corrie fame tried going all ITK- i would take anything May says with a pinch of salt, even if he does pop up on MUTV now and again.
Did you just compare the potential insight of David May, a former player with a job on the club channel, to that of Anthony Cotton, some guy from a TV soap?

I'd much rather him go there than to Liverpool.

No quotes. Still it looks that it is done but thispart looks so unbelievable:

Vox, who are usually pretty good, say that Herrera has personally informed Athletic he's off and they also claim Manchester United offered to pay €40m rather than €36m but Bilbao don't fancy that route, for some stubborn reason. The Basques and their pride![/quote'

Sanchez is a right winger, isn't he? I don't see us prioritizing the right wing this window, so unless he can play well on the left too I don't see us getting him. Personally I would love to see him at United and would take him over Valencia any day, though.

I think we offered them 40 to avoid paying the tax that comes with the contract clause but they refused. They could just be sour from last season and are reluctant sellers because of the player's wishes.

 What a day today...

Is that why he got sent off? Because that cheating shit bit him?

Was (sadly) watching the England game.

EDIT: Nope just seen the highlights, Marchisio was sent off.
