He could play wingback and be better in it than Young, but why in godsname would we spend £55m for that whilst we have also spend £30m to get Shaw who would be playing that exact same position.

If we want to play 3-4-1-2 than we have got the players already for the lwb position, Shaw and Young, no need to spend another £55m and get another one, that would unbalance our team again. Signing Di Maria only makes sense if we go to a 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 formation imo or as a 4-1-2-1-2 formation as a LCM.
as I mentioned earlier I'm not hopping on the Di Maria express, I believe first and foremost we should be looking at a CB, then a midfielder, and only after those 2 positions have been taken care of should we go for wingers.
the only reason I said what I said was because some people were saying we have nowhere to play him...I mean, if we've got a spot for Young and Valencia why wouldn't there be a spot for Di Maria.

Must have paid someone to get that many followers that quickly! Definitely a fraud though, his picture is some Italian actor.
He's changed his picture after you said that. Definitely a wum from the Juve forum.

It's impressive how they got an account with 16k followers though. Do you have to pay for something like that or are there free services for it? Either way, it's a bit pathetic going to all that trouble.

Bloody hell  surely he's not stalking the caf? And yeah you can buy followers for twitter, google it. I don't know who shows up when you click on 'followers' though!

Is this guy a bullshitter?

He's got 16k followers and his bio says that he used to work for La Stampa, but this obviously just reeks of bullshit.

Edit: Nevermind, his picture is apparently an Italian actor called Raoul Bova

I did some research on him and someone posted they contacted La Stampa and was told they don't know who he is.

10 Tweets ffs. What do you think?

If they're from Juve forum, might have got some members from there to follow it, then retweet the tweet and it snowballed from there. These "ITK" type accounts build up followers ridiculously quickly.

There's the caf twitter with nearly 10k followers after 5 years, and accounts like that get to 16k within a few days!

You need more juicy tweets. Force everyone on the forums to retweet it too, snowballing in no time.

Aye, but Gibbs came through Wimbeldon's academy.
Aye but he joined Arsenal at 14, a couple months before he turned 15. Came through playing for the u16s and u18s and spent just as much time in Arsenal's academy as he did in Wimbledon's. Arsenal are also the ones who switched him to LB from LW. So although he may have came through Wimbledon's academy he also came through Arsenal's rendering the joke inaccurate and shit.

Whoever it is, they've almost certainly bought followers. It's all quite sad imo, not sure how much they cost but when you're paying for followers at any price, you're taking twitter too seriously. To make it even worse you can check the percentage of robot followers on accounts. I imagine this guy's will be extremely high.

Meaning: I understand he's a bullshitter so don't reply to me the way you did.

That is a ridiculous list of talent. Looks like some kid edited a team on FIFA 14 with his favourite players.

A shot in the face to everyone who says you can't have a team full of world class players and you need some average squad players instead.

Bit harsh on Will Keane if true... hasn't had a proper chance in the first team yet. Could be because he's not up to it though, which is fair enough. Don't completely agree with Zaha and obviously Rafael either but hey. It's probably a bullshit report anyway.

Will Keane has been gazumped by Wilson, I'd say. The boy (Wilson) is banging goals in for fun and looks a cut above everyone else in his group.

"Midfielder (Kagawa) only third choice behind Juan Mata and Ander Herrera". What about Januzaj?

Also, I think van Gaal is worried that Rafael is too rash and will end up exposing the right hand side. Saying that, I think he will stay because the offers won't be good enough. That's if he is up for sale at all.

Shinji Kagawa is good at keeping the ball, passing the ball and has good decision making. Those are the specific things that the rest of those lads lack.
He's one I would sell if you can get some reasonable money for.

Rafael? really? wow... i can see why though. Chicharito is expected, but wrong decision imo.

I said before that letting Shinji go would be the easy option for LvG and that he should aim to bring the best out of him. So, good on him.

I refuse to believe that we gave Valencia a new contract and we are getting rid of Rafael, who is not only a better FB/WB than him, but most likely a better winger. Hopefully that article is bullshit, because it seems that it's only the mail running it.

Not Rafael :(

I don't understand why we will get rid of Rafael. Reserves/academy excluded, we only have 5 proper defenders as of now in first team, including Rafael. Rafael will be needed while playing 4-3-3 and can be rather useful in that formation. Even in 3-5-2 he can be used in certain games.

Rafael really did not get a chance with his injury an all, so unless Giggs + the other coaches don't like him..

Giving Valencia a new contract and selling Rafa would be an awful decision. Not only is Valencia 29 his forgotten how to play attacking football.

Rafael is not leaving. Neither is Will Keane, I reckon. He just signed a new contract.

The rest will leave.

Yes, let's blame Giggs.

Fellaini didn't get a chance too by your logic. Maybe LVG wasn't impressed by him in training. If he wasn't then you can only blame Rafael.

Why so tetchy?

I didn't just say Giggs, but it's been well known that Giggs and Albert Stuivenberg were in contact with LVG. So i'm sure a lot of feedback on players who have barely trained or played in front of LVG have come from them.

LVG came in and we flew out to USA a two/three days later, and Rafael was injured after the first(?) game and sent back to Manchester. So he must of really fecked up in training, considering he is our only natural RB.

The press thought we'd have the most monumental in and out summer ever. Bar the old guard retiring or having one last hurrah elsewhere, and the two signings it's been pretty quiet.
Yet they still think there's going to be a colossal turnover, in what is 3weeks left?

If Chelsea get Benatia surely they'll walk the league with ease.

Courtouis

Azpi Cahill/Terry Benatia Luis

Matic Fabregas

Schurrle/Willian Oscar Hazard

Costa

We're miles behind them :(
