Zubizarreta. Barcelona's sporting director.
Cheers.
Guess that's slightly ominous.

I know what you guys mean, but IMO, Vidal and Di Maria would cost approximately the same amount, maybe Di Maria a bit more. But the thing is, Vidal is a necessity for us, while Di Maria isn't needed as much.
Eh, I know it's being a bit narrow-minded. but I'd rather sign a player who fits our current system perfectly rather than sign a player that we have to change our formation to. Just my opinion.
They can have Cuadrado we can have Di Maria.
We have good options in that RWB spot anyway with Rafael, Valencia and Young.
Two out of three targets missed...

I don't think we've signed 17 players though, unless I'm mistaken. If you believe the press it's closer to 36/53 targets missed so far.

Well his son certainly thought so when he tried to attack him with a cricket bat over itA bit OTT don't you think?
Is anyone else intrigued how the 3-4-1-2 would work though? If we suddenly buy a winger, we probably won't use it after all, and the idea of Mata, Rooney and VP playing together in their best positions would go straight away.
not hopping aboard the Di Maria express here but if Young can do a decent job as a wingback, why couldn't Di Maria do the same? just out of curiosity...isn't his tracking back/workrate etc, what earned him plaudits at Madrid? I mean he's genuinely a great player, but no doubt he's going to get outshined by Ronaldo and Bale in the offensive department....in my eyes his defensive ability is what set him apart, not to take anything away from his offensive prowess.
¿Por qué no los dos?three? It was either Cuadrado or Di Maria, so we will get one or the other
How does no one see that the Barca, Vermaelen, 600k shirts thing was a joke?
Bloody hell.
Because Young's obviously the better player.not hopping aboard the Di Maria express here but if Young can do a decent job as a wingback, why couldn't Di Maria do the same? just out of curiosity...isn't his tracking back/workrate etc, what earned him plaudits at Madrid? It is also not FM.fecks sake Woodward, wrap up Vidal, get both Di Maria and Cuadrado, pay what it takes to get Benatia and bring in Blind for good measure. It's not rocket science you stupid chief!
Holy crap. Is Vermaelen Barca's Rodriguez?
Thats just pathetic. There's no way his name sold that amount of shirts. That paper is just like a Nazi propaganda machine speiling lies & deceit on a daily basis..
I found that funny. Nice dig at RM.
Barca, Real Madrid, Bayern, City, Chelsea and PSG play it like FM.It is also not FM.
That isn't the usual barcastuff account. In any case its a fake claim..I don't believe that for one second.
That's a little bit RAWKish.Barca seem to be after any player we are interested in - can we spread a rumour in Spain that we are desperate for Fellaini and Nani and are prepared to pay £25 million for each
I thought we only bought players that genuinely wanted to come to OT?
Move along.

That's a little bit RAWKish.
In fact, that quite a bit RAWKish.
Or maybe it was just a joke. Tongue in cheek and all that?
If we only bought players who, given the choice, and all things being equal, would rather join us than Barcelona, then I doubt we'd have signed anyone in the last 5 years.
It's a fair-ish assumption.
If it came down to a straight choice between ourselves and Real/Barça most players would pick one of the latter.
Tom Ince would probably be the exception. The dickhead.
