If he were bullshitting, you'd think he would give a much bigger window for the signing, ie. he's going to sign some time in the next week, by which point everyone will have forgotten all about it if he stays put.

The fact there's a time frame of only a few hours makes me think the tweeter is willing to stake his reputation on it being right. That's assuming he has any sort of reputation in the first place...

He works for the Cope who is if i'm not mistaken the most reliable media in Spain.

I was going to say it's trending but it's that Miguel Herrera, the Mexican coach

If it's true, I would guess that we'll know for certain by tomorrow teatime. I might just put myself into a cryogenic sleep until then to avoid the inevitable penile chaffing.

Oh god no. He's so overrated.
He's not at all. In fact, he's quite underrated.

He's capable of playing deep, box-to-box or even as an advanced midfielder and has even played out wide occasionally for Bilbao. He's tenacious, has a good passing range, scores and makes goals.

@jojojo What was the Spanish media's reaction to Herrera's omission from the squad. I seem to remember that they were concerned there weren't any mobile central midfielder in the squad?

Couldn't give a shit how he's rated - HE'S A PLAYER!!!

Midfielder to boot

Would people be happy with Herrera?

I would. Last summer I wasn't keen on us signing him, because I thought we had a good chance of getting Koke or Thiago, but things have changed and he's one of our best options now.

Even if we stretch to £12m, and by the sounds of it we'll probably reach agreement at £10m or just under, nobody can complain. Bargain price.
I don't see how giving them back almost the same price they paid for a 28 year old centre back who's been poor for at least 2 seasons and who can't get in their team could be described as a bargain.

Spanish radio station Cadena Ser saying that Manchester United's signing of Ander Herrera will be made public in the coming hours. Hmmmm

So they're going to announce it at 2/3am in the morning. What are you lads smoking.

How is £10-12m a bargain for a defender who has steadily declined in his performances on the pitch and is even more injury prone as of late than the current lads we have a CB who spend most their time in the Physio's room.

It was really only last season he was injured.

We have a Dutch manager now. We have been smoking Amsterdams finest since mid June. The only reason we arent announcing it at one in the morning is because Ed and Phil Neville were at the off license buying a big bag of doritos.

He looks good yes but I don't think it's the marquee midfielder we were all hoping for. Him and Vidal would be incredible. Just him to go with what we have? Not convinced

Ill wake up in the morning and say I told you so.

Its a bullshit story, someone is trolling. Whenever someone says "it will be announced in a few hours" you immediately know its horseshit.
