Even 11m is ridiculous, Hernandez a year ago would have gone for 20-25m easy. With the marketing that comes with him being an excellent player, 11m would be a steal.

Exactly. Hate to say it but the brand exposure in Mexico alone would be worth millions to Juve. Any company wanting to get more of the Mexican/Mexican-American market would be willing to pay a premium to have Chicharito in their adverts. Juve would make up £11 million the next time they talk to their sponsors about renewing deals. Chicharito isn't even in the last year of his contract either. Ridiculous offer if true.

It's hilarious that some of you think Chicharito is worth 20m plus.

He's a second string striker worth around 10-12m tops.

He had one good season only.

Only time we could've got £25m for him was after his first season with us. He's not even first choice for his country anymore and he's fourth choice for us, there's no way we'd get that much, highly marketable or not. You think someone'll pay that much for a striker who scored 4 goals last season?

People seem to forget how inflated the market is right now. With 3 clubs interested in him we should get £20m for him.

Agree with the first comment, although I think we could get anywhere from £10-16m dependent on how we played it.

I think he could easily go for 20m if a big club was in desperate need of a striker. In saying that, I agree, I can only see him going for around 10m.

Indeed. I've always found supporters' assessments of Hernandez and his worth to be very inflated. His goal scoring record is excellent but the reality is that top tier, and even second tier clubs in the mould of Everton and co, want something that little bit more.

His all round game remains a problem, despite his movement and positioning inside the penalty box. He's a decent player, but not much more.

Having said all that, I'd like to see a little bit more than what Fulham paid for Ross bloody McCormack. Hernandez is a £15-20 million footballer in this mad market. The stumbling block is that he's been short of matches and form for a good while.

Its a United thing, you can bet your House that If Hernandez was for example a Porto player, he wouldn't leave for cheaper than 20m Euros.

He scored 20, 12, 18 and 9 goals in the last four years competing with Rooney, RvP and Welbeck and don't forget Berbatov for the place in the first team.

For example Morata who was €20m scored 2 and 9 goals in the last two years competing with Benzema for the place in the first team.

Lukaku who was sold for £30m didn't get a chance for a team with Torres, Ba an Eto'o.

Yes Hernandez is older than other two but he scored 20 goals at the age of 22 when he had a chance to play as a started for almost whole season. If he goes to a club like Juve where he will be a striker he will be scoring a lot of goals and his price will massively icreased .

In a market where Ross bloody McCormack is worth 11m and Mitroglou is worth 12m. In a market where a player like David Luiz goes for 50m to PSG but would have gone for 40m elsewhere, Hernandez is worth at least 20m, if not 25m+.

He is Mexico's third all time top scorer, is only 26 and is about to reach his peak, has won the champions league and has an insane goal to game ratio.

Maybe 5 years ago he would not be worth that much but today, he definitely is.

He is also worth a lot more than that to us. Now that LVG is going to play a 2 striker system, we will need the quality of a player like Hernandez when either/both RVP and Rooney get injured.

What does Lukaku offer that Hernandez does not?

I must have missed that one!

But we all have seen Chicharito regress, whether it be his own "fault" or due to lack of opportunities these past 2 years doesn't really matter - he hasn't done as well. Once Van Persie came to us you knew he was going to be a super sub at best - we should have moved him then if we wanted the optimal return. Easy to say in hindsight of course........

As for Morata and Lukaku, well I would argue that the latter has done more at a younger age already and that the former as well as the latter have both been highly rated for at least 3 years now. Chicharito was considered an unearthed gem after scoring 20 in his first season, but had never previously been considered a great prospect as the other two were.

Whilst the market is mad at the moment, one might be forgiven for thinking we could get more than 15m for him, but this is United moving a player who is not crucial to our plans and soon to be 27 years old. 10-12m is realistic in my opinion.

All that said, frankly,if he's happy to keep playing the super sub role, I'd much rather keep him.

Ts"juve want #mufc Hernandez but #mufc want 11m now, while juve offering 2m loan &7-8m right to buy" #juvenews

That's probably in euros too. Juve are a joke, trying to haggle down 11m euros which is already below his true value.

I hope we can sell him to Southampton, could probably get £20m for him there, though just depends whether Chica wouldn't mind.

We are talking about value here people. We are not talking about whether player a is better than player b.

Haha the truth is he'll probably end up being sold to Juve for 12m and they won't budge on Vidal who will end up at Bayern.

When did he win the Champions League?

We'd be insane to sell him to juve for that price. I don't rate him tha highly but in today's market he's definitely worth at least 12-15 million.

A player is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for him. I have no worries that someone would pay 20m for Hernandez.

If Juve were the only party interested then I would just keep him. His time here is worth more to us than 8m.

He actually only turned 26 in June.A poacher like him easily has another 7-8 years left.

I think he would thrive as a second striker at a team with decent wingers. In his first season here when Valencia and Nani were actually able to cross he bagged 20 goals.

Atletico would be the perfect club for him.He would thrive off Mandzucic's knock down and Turan and Koke wingplay. He could easily bag 20 goals a season in the spanish league and that0s easily worth £20M.

I doubt we'll get that but 11M would be robbery. That's a fee bottom half clubs pay for 10 goals a season players.

By that logic every 18 year old would be more expensive than Messi, as they have 9 more years of service.
Let's not be facetious here. Lukaku has the age advantage whilst also being on the same talent level as Hernandez.
