Is GDS Juve's mouthpiece? Or is that tuttosport?
Why is the Italian media pushing this story so much? Are Juventus desperate to cash in? Don't really see why they would be.. but then again, if they could get 40-50m for a player without whom they could still win that crap league comfortably, I can see them being tempted.
There is no such thing as a Juve Mouth-piece

Here is the news for the next few days:

United monitering Vidal.
Vidal calm on future.
Fee needs to be over €57.45m
United preparing bid.
Fee needs to be over €56.70m.
United interested in Vidal.

There you go lads, have the weekend off!

"One of the reasons Bayern sacked LVG was that he didn't want to sign players"

Is there any truth in this?

Kind of yes he wanted to play Kraft, club wanted Neuer. Looking back the club got it right. So not exactly players but a player as far as I can remember.

Think a bigger part was his refusal to use players that the club signed when he didn't want them because they didn't suit his style. Shit like them forcing certain players on him, certain ways of doing things, things that don't happen at united.

Also got his balls out when laying into the team, wanted to show them he had balls I guess :D.
Think toward the end the wheels were falling off & too many people within the club we're dictating to a manager who does his own thing regardless!

Did I miss the referendum & Declaration of Independence from GB? I know the Scots are trying but N Ireland is firmly part of Britain, so all have British passports, thus are British!

Northern Ireland will never be part of Great Britain. I promise you that

I think that sounds a bit stupid. Not from you. How do we have enough time? Its not easy signing players nowadays anyways. Or we ll have to over pay for a average player on the last day.

I'm guessing his perspective is that its more important to find a square peg for a square hole than to go out and sign the biggest name.

And he wanted to check what shape the hole was before he went looking for pieces.

It does sound a bit worrysome, but lets give it till the end of the window and see what they're able to come up with. The casual approach could still work out with us signing the right players

This transfer window, I feel agents are trying to push deal more than clubs actually wanting those players.

They wouldn't get a response, they'd be told we won't comment on individuals.

He did comment on Strootman in a previous press conference, even though he himself said he doesn't talk about non Utd players.

Interesting......

That's actually quite worrying if true.

I've said this before.

I'm gettin the feeling that LvG's main personal challenge, is to prove he can turn a team that finished 7th into a higher position the next season - title winners.

I love that to be honest, but can you imagine what he can do with top-class players - instead of gettin an extra 10-20% out of average - good players?!

I understand that workin with young players is his mantra (control), but he got the best out of the Dutch lads at the WC too & Robben / RvP still listened & loved his mantra the same as the younger lads..

My opinion has been, that its LvG that isnt willing to splash the cash - not Ed!

You gotta love the man for his obsessiveness to make young players great. Its gonna be a rollercoaster thats for sure & i'm not that bothered anymore about bringing in world-class players, if LvG thinks we dont need them.

F*ckin bizarre comment from me of course (i'm tired of all the speculations), but the guy is so confident in making our players better than they are.

Enjoy the ride folks, but make sure you wear your seat-belt & have a sick bag at the ready also

So first they hired Moyes that they expected not to trash money and then LvG that is known for not doing it.
Makes sense the Glazers didnt go for Mourinho in that respect as well didnt it....

It could all be a ploy yet, maybe to scare Juve or Vidal into negotiating :nervous:

I agree.
If he had come in and bought four or five players straight away, the players would have felt that they had no chance , at least he is giving them a chance to impress him
For me ? go for it, see if he can transform the players he has into a team that can at least compete this season , I have no doubts at all that we are going to hammer some teams this season , just for taking the piss last season .

I do think Vidal would make a massive difference to our side , but if Van Gaal gets our players giving anywhere near their best we wont have any problems finishing top four
I cant wait for the season to start .

"Godfather" eh?

I guess there's no point conversing with such a mighty being!

A month ago someone posted an article that mentioned that the club knew or expected Moyes not to spend big.
I'm not saying the hiring of him and LvG was for that reason mainly, but it surely is a positive for the owners.
