Walcott isn't shit. He's a fantastic outlet who will provide not only a different dimension to an attack but also a decent stream of goals from out wide.

He is a great option from the bench with blistering pace and a decent finisher and he did improve before his injury....from shit to poor. Take away his pace and he is a first division player, he has no skill and no intelligence, a typically over hyped English player with absolutely no technical ability or brain. I wouldnt go near Walcott as a potential signing for us in a million years, I would Quintero. Anyway its just my opinion will say no more after this on the matter. I like watchin young players we get linked with and some when you watch them just stand our as really having world class potential, some become stars liek Sanchez some dissapoint like Pastore, which way Quintero goes who knows, Arsenal have to sign him first and he is totally different to Walcott, more like Paul Merson in that he is clever seeing everything around him and picking a clever pass. But how could you be against Quintero as a signing if you consider Walcott a fantastic outlet as talent wise at least they are a million miles apart.

Napoli have offered Dries Mertens to Manchester United in a part-exchange deal for Marouane Fellaini.

This comes from the Daily Express.....

Since it's a slow news day (again!) thought I'd put it in here, I wouldn't bother posting it normally..

that makes sense in a weird way - we lose a player we don't consider good enough and don't want - and are offered a player from the same national team, not good enough and not wanted by us.
Instead of having a 6ft 4 who is not good enough - we get a 5 ft 4 who is not good enough. Intriguing :)

Sad to see him go. He didn´t want to renew. I understand him wanting to go back to England. It´s a good purchase by Spurs. Quality defender with decent technical ability. Still prone to concentration lapses and errors but the potencial is all there. Very good on the big games against Porto and Jackson Martinez last year. We have replaced him with French youth ranks international and world u20 champion Naby Sarr, so we got a decent replacement for him. Good luck at Spurs, i´m sure he will come good.

He had a clause from the previous board negotiations where he could go back to England if a club bid that ammount. If it was with this new President, i doubt he would go that cheap. He´s worth more than that.

If we can get 12-15m for fellaini that is brilliant business. He has absolutely no role here.
If he has no role in LVG's plans the only other option is to do an Andy Carroll and loan him out for a few years, in the hope that everyone will forget what a disaster of a transfer it was in the meantime.
