Probably because there was a breakthrough in the Magala deal. It was widely reported Benatia was only ever a backup option should the Mangala deal not prove plausible.
Probably has another season at his best but he's turning 32 at the end of it. A player like him that relies so much on his physical attributes will probably decline at that age. Why?
This.What's he getting at?

I know he does, but you can't deny that his athleticism puts him on another level. Still excellent on the ball but I can see him declining quite a bit these next few years.Yaya Toure is a phenomenal player. He offers so much more than just pace and power.

Even after the medical was leaked, they haven't confirmed it yet?
He does, but it's undeniably a huge part of his game still.Yaya Toure is a phenomenal player. He offers so much more than just pace and power.
So essentially his United career is over before it's even started? I kind of feel for him to be honest.
True, I suppose van Gaal will want to return to 4-3-3 by next season. Zaha will have to be loaned again, he's not going to get game time as a striker here.I can't be certain but I think that quote was purely in the context of the 3-5-2 system, with LVG stating he can only play in the striker position. I think eventually we'll move back to 4-3-3 which would suit Zaha, but I think it's likely he'll go on loan again this year and will need to impress.
Seriously? Not sure what the fuss is about with Mangala. Strong in the air and is very physically developed but lacks the awareness and positional sense you'd want. Especially next to a very similar playing style in Kompany, Benatia would complement him more.Probably because there was a breakthrough in the Magala deal. Robben Role.Is Zaha a striker nowadays or LVG calls him as a striker in 3-5-2 because he won't play as a wingback?
Was confirmed ages ago.Wow, so the 352 thing is actually going to happen....

Thanks for the heads up Louis...
It is not his first choice though as you can see him say in his interview yesterday. He literally said he had no choice but to abandon his favorite 4-3-3 and is playing this formation because of the squad available to him.Was confirmed ages ago.

Well that's bullshit.I love the way he sarcastly talks to the interviewer when they ask a stupid quaestion lol.
Also his English is ok but i would of thought it might of been a bit more fluent, Holland is pretty much an English speaking country these days. Well i have been a few times and all the local people spoke English, even when talking to each other.

I don't think van Gaal is type for mind games.Personally I think he's using mind games, trying to get the opposition to think they'll be facing a team as poor as last season.
Remember, support your new manager.
Verheijen reminds me of a cartoon character from my childhood that was so pissed off at humanity that he assembled a cockroach army to take over the world.
Eh?, maybe i was just super lucky then or in tourist areas or something.Well that's bullshit.
