He always played in the middle in a 343 system. Hamsik and Lavezzi supporting him

Fair enough, I seem to remember seeing him playing on the left side quite a fair bit whenever I watched that Napoli team but that wasn't often tbh.

I hope Reus doesn't go to Bayern. Even though it's in Bayern's best interests for Dortmund to be weak, that'd be a dick move.

Reus won't go to Bayern, he's already called out Goëtze and Lewa for what they did and that he isn't motivated by money.
If he is rejecting a new contract it's probably because he wants to be competing for the top honours, and as much as I love Dortmund, they've been stripped of their best assets and will take a few years to get to where they were.

I doubt Barca will go for him, because Neymar plays in his position, and he'll expect first team football

We would have a genuine chance if we get back in CL, but were more likely to get him next year.

With last night's news (definitely from a club briefing you'd have thought) about Fellaini, Kagawa, Anderson and Nani all being moved on this summer, I think we'll sign a midfielder but I don't think it'll be Vidal.

I'm starting to think that the British journalists are right and our interest has cooled. Maybe they were briefed on that after all. I've no doubt that we've enquired about Vidal at some point this summer but there seem too many obstacles in the way at present.

Underwhelmed with the idea of playing for Manchester United? He can feck off! Not Vidal , Hunter or whoever the cnut is.

He knows jack shit.

Is this the same Vidal that apparently said:

'Anyone would love to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world'

Yup that clearly sounds like someone who is underwhelmed with the idea of joining Manchester United isn't it?

Shit that aint good. I guess he is back to Sanchez. No wait Iturbe was backup to Sanchez and Rumolo is back up to Iturbe.

He never said that.

‘I wish luck to Lewa and Gotze, but Bayern will never have me. Money is not everything.’

Like I said last night, so did Thiago when he posted how much he loved barcelona.

To be fair, he was instgramming pictures of the city and how much he loves it, rather than the club itself.
And probably because he was going to miss it

He's clearly not going to be a number ten, so I don't see that as an issue.

Van Gaal may want to get rid, if so then fair enough but as it stands with no additions in midfield bar Hererra and Carrick sidelined for a while I see no sense in moving him on. Like him or not, He's the only actual holding player we have and I'd take him over Cleverley personally.

He's a big lad you hump the ball up to around the penalty box & he causes chaos in the process. Thats his game!

As for him being a holding mid-fielder - he's too aggressive for that role. He uses his elbows more than his brain for Christ sake..

Cleverley should be following suit to another club also - no takers as far as i can see though..

Well a lot of players say shit like that. Didn't Rooney say he was going to an Evertonian for life? In the heat of the moment, you say things and then you sit down and analyze the situation and make a completely different decision. Its just life and you can't blame him for it.

On Tuesday morning, a brief question at BVB. Is it true that Marco Reus has said this sentence?
Spokesman Sascha Fligge: "This is - as so often - a fake".

Trying to make a call to the headquarters of the newspaper (Mirror) and the attempt by the author of the Reus-text, Danny McCann,.
"Yes, please, I'll put you through."
After five calls, several queues and about 27 anteroom employees, we end up with a pretty mediocre humored editor of the sports department.
"Hello?"
"We'd like to talk to Danny McCann. It's about Marco Reus and his statement to never go to Bayern."

Just at that moment ended the mediocre humored editor the call. Two other attempts end also unsuccessful. An e-mail that was sent out on Tuesday morning remained unanswered until now.

The supposed quote from Reus came from a Mirror article, the pinnacle of reliable football journalism as we know.

He's right. I think unless we're chasing a game, it's 3-4-2-1 for the foreseeable future.

I like the idea of it myself.

I don't think it necessarily is. LVG has said himself that the players already know how to play 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 and he wants the players to be comfortable with playing this new formation. Ducker even said in one of his articles that LVG didn't want to make the same mistake as Mancini when he tried using 3 at the back. City had clearly not worked on it properly and whenever they played it they got found out. It may well be our main formation but I think our formation for the season may very much depend on our new signings. This may well just be one of our alternative formations.
