Nothing new here, most of us were surprised with the signing of mata/kagawa/RVP.. We needed to buy midfielders or wingers, as this was the general opinion here.
Well to replace Hummels of course when he comes here.

Moyes was constantly slating some of our players. Two infamous examples being "I need 5 or 6 world class players" and "Danny Welbeck needs extra training if he wants to improve"
LVG is right here, look the people we have who can play as a number 10. And some of them can only play as a number 10. The balance in the squad is terrible

Kagawa for Hummels.
To be fair when he is played as a CF he's a £15+ million player, it would be good business for both clubs. Finally shifting off the last of the Moyes regime!
As for the other rumours of Kagawa, Nani and Anderson we could fetch a nice bit of money! Could even throw in Chich, but that's just speculation
Fellaini - £15m (80k wages) / sign Vidal
Nani - £10m (90k wages) / sign Di Maria
Anderson - £4m (70k guess) / promote Powell
Kagawa - £18m (80k wages) / minus a #10 is a good thing.
Chich - £18m (70k wages) / promote James Wilson
£55m and 390k wages, a tidy piece of business (once you don't weight up the losses for what we actually paid)
Guess: Di Maria and Vidal could both be got for €45-50 million, that's £71 - £79 m with enough wages saved to give them a generous 195k a week.
Net: -16 to -24 million for two proven world class wingers that would improve our squad massively!

I really hope we've been secretly doing business with other clubs since the Vidal stuff exploded. LVG will be a little short sighted if he is planning on stocking up on defensive players unless they are the likes of Banatia, Hummels. We were also horribly uncreative last season and lacked any pace to speak of. I hope we have another CM in the pipeline 2xCB and at least one world class winger Di Maria or Reus kind of players.
Would give Kagawa to Dortmund only if they would give us Hummels.
The only conceivable reason we should consider losing Kagawa. Otherwise, it's madness.
If we really are willing to let Kagawa, Fellaini, Nani & Anderson leave then we must have deals done or nearly done for 2-3 midfielders/wingers surely.

It's not madness at all. He's been poor pretty much throughout his United career and Mata is twice the player. Would sell Kagawa and develop Januzaj as Mata's back up myself.

Van Gaal apparently wants a squad of 24 so doubt we'll be replacing all of them, its hard enough to pick 24 for the lot we have already.
He had the shit of last season under Moyes and has basically been played out of position consistently for his entire duration here. It's an absolute joke the way we've treated the guy, probably would be better off leaving where he'll get his confidence back again and hopefully find the form he had before he arrived at us when he was outstanding.
Kroos is superior to Herrera in pretty much every aspect, in what way does Herrera fit us better haha? It's safe to assume Kroos bailed on us, as soon as Real Madrid showed their interest.

Herrera is superior in dribbling and beating his man for a start.
Kroos is neither a better tackler nor dribbler than Herrera. We needed a mobile, ball playing Cm who could tackle and beat a man off the dribble if necessary... Herrera was perfect for the role.
Yes even Anderson can dribble quicker than Kroos. He has more speed. Did we consider Scholes a great dibbler? He had the pass and move technique mastered or he stood in one place and drilled the ball cross field.
Obviously he's not better at "everything" which is why I put "Pretty much" in there. But as of right now Kroos is miles better than Herrerra and has constantly played at a much higher level.

I guess if he refuses to sign a new contract they have no choice but to sell hime, or lose hime for peanuts next summer.
Why? He's had two full seasons and has yet to impress! I don't understand why some people can't wait to slag off certain members of the squad and get rid but jump to Kagawa's defence instantly even though he has been mediocre from the start! It makes sense to sell him, even if it isn't part exchange for Hummels. The squad badly needs trimmed!

Scholes was quite mobile aswell unlike Kroos
He went a long way to creating the problem with #10's in our squad.
I love mata but we didn't particularly need him.
He should've bloody known that fellaini was dogshit everywhere except #10.
Add januzaj to that list as he broke through in moyes first season.

tbh i'm not entirely convinced by him when he's not playing #10.
Im happy with herrera anyway.
While we are speculating, I don't think they will let this happen after losing Gotza/Lawdonski to Bayern.. That will be a big low for them.
