He played CDM by himself against us in the 2nd leg and has performed well in every position in the centre of the pitch. What the hell does being "mobile" even mean In regards to footballers? How can you call a guy who can play CAM,CM,CDM all at a high level "not mobile"?

Im guessing they are saying he can't really run the ball but like I said Scholes did the one-two and drilled balls cross field. Kroos is very well adept at that. Im not saying Im pissed Herrera is here. Playing for Bayern probably helped with that. And the Bayern fans haven't exactly been crestfallen that he left.
I like Kroos a lot in fairness and he's looked the most Scholesy-like of any available midfielder, but Herrera's someone that shone against Barca and Real multiple times and has pretty much every attribute we could want in our central midfield. Plus he seems an absolute gem of a bloke that I'm delighted to have in our squad for the foreseeable future. Yeah Kroos would've been great, but we've got someone who's also top quality so there's no real need to moan for the sake of moaning.

We were shit. Playing well against us just isn't much of an achievement.

Have heard the same, but with Carricks injury losing 2 more midfielders would leave us short in there so we would need at least one addition, losing Nani and Kagawa leaves us with just Young, Valencia & Januzaj minus a few other youngsters for wide options so i would imagine like LVG said in his interview we would need a specialist winger.

I think he'll end up in the PL. A team that's in the CL. There's definitely a place for him at all the big clubs here unlike at Barca/Real. Who he'll go to? No idea but I wouldn't even rule out Arsenal, they'd be willing to spend the money and if they go on and win something this season he may just want to join some of his fellow countryman.

I can't be bothered to read the argument back so i can't tell what point you're actually trying to make here. But just pointing out that you've identified pretty much the only good things that happened when Moyes was here: bringing Januzaj through so successfully, and buying Mata.
There's so much to complain about from last season, let's not start turning the positives into negatives.
(And for reference, Januzaj wasn't a #10 in the youth teams, he was a winger. Played pretty much the same way he did for the first team, sometimes going outside sometimes coming inside.)

Someone was saying moyes said the squad was imbalanced last season and was given grief for it - i said he made matters 'worse' basically (in terms of imbalancing the squad, i like mata).
