good guess though...no?
The "offer" bit yes. We weren't offering our star number 9 in exchange though!

Not even suggesting it's trueNot even the Metro or the Star would suggest LVG is about to offload van Persie![]()
They will be figures converted from Chilean Pesos/another currency most likely. Will likely be round figures if you convert it back.39m and 201k?
Not at all trying to make it look less obvious they've plucked figures from the air

It's not a decent window at all. Players in the position those two play were necessities. It's an absolute minimum. It's tantalising.
End the window with Herrera and Shaw and it's a decent window.
End it with a Vidal and it becomes an excellent one.

Last summer was a scandalous and abysmal window. That can't be used as a barometer for our expectations this summer.think back to last year. it's a decent window.
To be honest I think that the quote has massively been taken out of context:
It is recent though, as he mentions Conte's resignation.
It was said right after Conte resigned. It's a fairly old quote now. Pavel Nedved's quote is the most recent.
This would be a good window in a normal year but on the back of a horrific season people don't feel confident unless we buy more and more and more. But really, our biggest signing so far is LVG. 1 or 2 more and I'll be well up for it this year.Last summer was a scandalous and abysmal window. I like what we've done thus far, but this year we've also lost Rio, Vidic, Giggs and most probably Evra. I wouldn't regard this as a decent window, if there's no further movement, but perhaps at present, with some time still left, the window can end with us getting what we need.think back to last year. it's a decent window.

Even though the manager is the biggest signing, he isn't a miracle worker. Some like to dismiss last season and put the blame entirely on Moyes, but there are a number of deficiencies in the squad that need to be addressed and when the club have a substantial transfer budget, you expect more in-comings than just two. Our rivals are continually improving and most have had a better window than us thus far. It's unrealistic in that sense to suggest we will simply waltz into the top four with two signings and under van Gaal's stewardship; a concerted top four challenge so far, but I doubt we would consolidate our place in it.This would be a good window in a normal year but on the back of a horrific season people don't feel confident unless we buy more and more and more. TO THE MUPPET MOBILE
De Vrij at €10m would be an excellent deal IMO.
Man Utd offer Vidal $18m a year wages according to Chilean outlet Emol
Does he improve our defense though? Is he any better than Jones/Smalling/Evans? I wouldn't say so. We have to go out and prize a top class defender to the club, that should be our number one priority right now.
Yes, but I would rather have him over Vermaelen.
Can't be arsed to trawl through the last 10 pages. Anything new on the Vidal front ?
As would I but it's still not strengthening our already weak defense.

You could be right mate but I don't think Emol or Chilevision would've gone with the story if there was nothing in it.@Adnan I think both of those articles are based on El Mercurio's report earlier today.
