So you're glad he's injured? Ridiculous logic.
Maybe he meant it as more of a blessing in disguise as opposed to being 'happy' he is injured.

I have nothing against Carrick, I just dont feel he should be starting for us, he should be a squad player for the upcoming season IMO.
Yes. When someone gets injured and someone says 'this isn't bad news' they're gonna get stick. I don't care what player it is, hating a United player or being happy when they're injured is pathetic.I have nothing against Carrick, I feel he probably should start in a 3 but if this means we sign another big name CM then it's not so bad. Of course its bad for Carrick personally.
Would people be so defensive if it was Young that was injured?
He did mateHe surely didn't say that, did he?
'I have nothing against our best midfielder of recent years, but I'm glad he's injured as he should only be a squad player!'
Guys no need for the mob mentality, i'm pretty sure Ravi just meant that Carrick being injured might force Van Gaal to go for Vidal/another midfielder.
Nothing wrong with that thinking, it doesn't mean he's glad Carrick is injured.

Him being injured doesn't help does it? Even if we sign a top midfielder, an injury to him or Herrera would mean Fellaini, Fletcher or Cleverley have to play there. I doubt it has any influence on us signing a midfielder, that was likely the plan regardless. It's not a mob mentality, it's just ridiculous logic.Exactly gentlemen, I would never wish injury on our player or even an opposition player.
I believe 100% that to challenge for the title next season we need a top tier CM to go along with Herrera, he cannot do it alone.
I like Carrick, I just dont feel he should be a starter anymore.
Those who don't know, Kramer got hit in the head during the final. Scary stuff.

We would have a ton of laughing green smilies if it was Fellaini.
The pack of dogs mentality is the worst aspect of this site, ravi worded his post poorly I agree but multiple posts attacking him are not the way to handle it.
Exactly, its not ravi's fault in any way. People say worse things on this forum.
That actually isnt bad news IMO.

To be honest mate, I wasn't agreeing with you, I was saying it was a ridiculous statement.
Nothing personal, but I'd never wish an injury on any player, never mind one of our own!
So we should hope for serious injuries to Smalling, Hernandez, Valencia, Fletcher and Fellaini as well - because they aren't first team regulars and that way we have to buh new players ?
The reasoning of some people here is frightening
I never WISHED injury on him, the point i was trying to make is that there may be a positive to it.
That is all.
Wait a minute, I thought it was 10 weeks not several months?
Except I'm not at all. It's simple logic really. No need to call me a cnut. You are being obtuse just for the sake of being a cnut now.
The way he put it made it sound like he didn't care he was injured.
"I don't care Carrick is injured, at least we can sign a midfielder now".
Maybe he should have worded it differently. A lot of people have got on Carrick's back recently and when someone made a comment like that it annoyed me very quickly. Perhaps I should apologise for that.
Fair enough, that was how it came across though.
Not trying to attack or anything, but that's the kind of behaviour that opposition fans get slated for on here.
Terrible news on Carrick. I wonder if this might revise his planned 3-4 week 'review' of the squad before making any decisions in the market.

I also hate the gang mentality thing on here but I don't think this is an example, it was a silly comment and when I replied to it I didn't see anyone else who had. I think it was quite clear we were signing another midfielder regardless, so Carrick's injury can only be a bad thing. For the record the comment about hating players wasn't directed at you, hence 'or', that was just me going off on a tangent about the large amount of fans who do seem to genuinely hate Young. At the end of the day, one of our best players over the last few years got a long term injury and you said it wasn't bad news - you can't expect not to get stick.
