In response to City and Utd fans bickering over the Nissan deal City signed.
We get £5m a year from Aeroflot? If all those deals are worth around that then I bet they pay the bulk of players wages?

Real are crazy. Adding Kroos and James to a CL winning side. Their squad will be good enough to make it a second time I think
Ronaldo at that time was worth the 80m, but I believe that if Ronaldo wasn't sold for what he was, Bale would have been cheaper so too James.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...366/Nissan-to-sponsor-Manchester-City-FC.htmlWhat was the Nissan deal which City signed?
Benzema/New striker, Ronaldo, Bale, Rodriguez, Kroos and Modric will have no balance if they're playing against a top top team in the CL knock-out stagesReal are crazy. Adding Kroos and James to a CL winning side. Their squad will be good enough to make it a second time I think
£20m over 5 years I think. What was the Nissan deal which City signed?
Meh. People thought Bayern would defend the CL too.Real are crazy. Adding Kroos and James to a CL winning side. Their squad will be good enough to make it a second time I think

Do all those teams get the money?Ok, so small fry compared to that then. Especially when you consider that the Nissan deal isn't just to sponsor Manchester City, but also New York City FC and Melbourne City FC. It's a three-in-one.
EDIT: And the Yokohama Marinos. So a 4-in-one.
Zidane influenced his decision a fair bit I think? We ended up signing Jones. Although I could be wrong about that.
EDIT: Adnan beat me to it![]()

Cheers guys!
I, for one thought that Ronaldo should have went for 100m not 80M but thats another topic![]()

£7m a year, your calculator is crap

I don't think they would have won the CL last season without Di Maria
Are United getting 35 p/y from Aeroflot?
Thats the thing, Di Maria was absolutely to them in winning the CL.
If RM want 40M for him, I really dont understand why we wouldnt pay that... unless Di Maria only wants the Champs League which in that case we are S.O.L
They might get a share of it. Cynically speaking, City's share will be 'massive'Do all those teams get the money?
I said that about the Bayern side this year... winning the Champions League 2 years in a row is near-impossible, but having said that, adding Kroos + James to an already Champions winning side is FIFA Manager stuff.
Not if they sell Di Maria and Khedira. They will have a lot of superstars but no one to do the graft. It will be similar to the Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo era where they won very little.Real are crazy. PSG are paying 60 million euros and 250k in wages apparently.
Sounds like someone's using Manchester United for contract negotiation reasons. Yet again.

My exact thoughts! RVP's probably been whispering in LVG's ear about Vermaelen and his talent. I'll be the first to admit that it wouldn't be that bad a signing. IF he's worth £6-7m, that'd be great. He was a very good defender only year and half ago, and hid versatility is right up Van Gaal's alley. Vermaelen will play the tactical Daley Blind role in some of our games.Suddenly it all makes sense.

They're all owned by City's owners, so effectively they all use the same pot of money.
