We trumped them for Shaw.
Mourinho hasn't worked personally with Shaw; I think it's a different scenario. He's openly lauded Varane and made it clear how highly he rates him. That heightens the stakes.

If this were a genuine thing, I'm not saying we couldn't do it, but we'd have to be ready to spend a huge amount to get him.

I don't get why people buy this so easily off a one of report. We weren't even really linked with Sanchez anywhere seriously yet he rejected us for CL.

Di Maria is not worth the prices PSG is reportedly paying both in Wages and fees.

He really is.

This is firmly yours & others debate man & i dont want to get involved. I've had this conversation too many times & its beyond interesting at this stage.

That bolded part & his list, suggests that he has rated our squad - without adding utter useless onto the list. Thats why he hasnt the numbers the same. Welbeck, Shaw & Herrera are up there with best we have though.

Which negates your point, no? He's counted players like Demichelis and Milner as 'good', but not even included Shaw, Hernandez and Welbeck. And he includes City's second keeper but not ours, despite them being at the same level. So any conclusions he draws from the list are completely irrelevant because it's vastly biased in City's direction.

I'm not gonna bother arguing with him any more, anyway. Enough people have pointed out how ridiculous his post is to make the point.

I actually don't think we were interested in him at all (I didn't believe the top article, which is why I pasted the second one). I don't know a lot about him in terms of personality, but from that quotes, I would like to think that if he had a chance, he would join United over PSG.

He really is.

I have liked him for a long while and did when everyone was down on him after last season after he was Kept and Ozil was sold and earlier in season when Real fans were booing him as well but he really isn't a pay whatever to get him type player.

48 milion Pounds plus 250k wages. Nah.

He has gone from being underrated to overrated now.

I wasn't referring to you but more agreeing with your point. I think we would be interested in Di Maria but not at those prices. Sanchez we strangely didn't ever seem interested in.

Moura is so underwhelming for me considering the fee and wages we'd have to pay to get him.

Griezmann for me.

IiiiiiiitttttttttttttttttttassssssssssssssssSSSS! Pointless transfer news factoid time!

Sorry people, not getting anything good here at the moment.

I love the Italian press These days. If Juventus really want 50 Mill. € and Vidal is open to a move what the heck are we even waiting for

The market has been inflated ever since Ronaldo joined Madrid for the price he did.

No. That was fair value for one of the best players in the world.

The market has been inflated by sugar daddy clubs paying over the odds for average players. See Luiz to PSG as an example.

Joleon Lescott for 25 million quid was not over inflation? Barry for near on 20 million wasnt? Scott Parker , Glen Johnson, Lallana, Joe Cole in the past- all gone for daft fees. Kevin Davies 7.5 million to Blackburn from Chesterfield aswell...
