This doom and gloom here is depressing. People acting as if it's still Moyes in charge.

And what do expect exactly from LVG to say. We will sign this and this player - maybe.
He doesnt seem like someone who would say sthing like that, quite the opposite. He'll probably refuse to comment on all the transfer questions..

And so what if he says he's happy with the squad, he wont exactly say - this squad is utter crap..

But no, people are already depressed cause LVG will say 'there's no value in the market' and other things.

Ah that Fergie and his quotes, so glad those days are over..

I'm starting to think we haven't got many alternatives. I think we might wait for strootman in January instead of splashing out now though I really hope I'm wrong.

I've just read Nicky butts comments about Herrera not being on the same level as kroos and pogba, and it increasingly sounds like we know we can't get the top class players. So I don't think it bodes well for the rest of the window.

We had Pogba and by all accounts if Moyes was here we were apparently favourites to sign Kroos. I wouldn't be so sure we can't attract the top players money talks look at City a couple years ago and they had very little pulling power other than money.

United don't buy top class players. We make them top class.

Where are people getting this kind of stuff from? Who has said we won't sign any further players?
It's what's we've heard from SAF and Moyes in recent years, was all down to the a glazers not spending big. Hope LVG gives us hope of incoming stars.

This post will smell like fish... why you ask? there are two cnut's in it.

It must be horrid to train under a man that is determining your fate if you know you're not the most technically gifted.

I don't think LVG will permit the same 'donkey ratio' that SAF or Moyes did. He may want graft and bite, but technical attributes and tactical flexibility are huge to him and the way he likes his teams to play.

We're not like Holland of this WC, so he's not stuck with an inferior bunch if he wants to take players out.

It's going to be interesting to see who he keeps and who he opts to get rid of.

Interesting given that the story was that we walked away from the Kroos deal. So not that hard to get, all things considered...

Doubt Butt was involved in that anyway. This seems a Naive throw in of Kroos and strangely Pogba.

Firstly you are exaggerating a fair bit about What Sir Alex or Moyes did. Sir Alex bought Berbatov ffs and Moyes Mata who Mourinho flogges for not working hard enough.

And by that logic he should have played Clasie ahead of Wijnaldum and De Jong. You need to find a playing pattern and then the players suited to it. There's not only 1 way Football can be played to be successful.

I don't think Van Gaal is as rigid as he used to be either.

Jacksons talking shit.

He clearly has a agenda against United or to troll United fans atleast. Isn't he a City fan ?

'Ratio' being the operative word. What does any player you've pointed out have to do with that?

Van Gaal has a transfer window and cash at his disposal, I highly doubt he will stick with those he deems all-heart grafters if he doesn't have to.

We'll see come the end of the transfer window what we're left with.

Terrible news about Angel Correa.. Hope he gets better soon..

Just 19 as well and was excited about his move to Atletico.

I'm sure he wasn't involved. I'm also sure that given the position he's in and the relationship he has with Giggs and Neville that he would know what happened. Obviously he might be throwing out those names as examples of players at that level. Doesn't read like that, though.

Don't turn into scousers, lads. What's the issue? He appears to be reporting a relevant, newsworthy quote. Getting that from Butt is the very definition of doing his job well.
He's using a second hand source though, so he's hardly doing his job well. I agree that we shouldn't be requesting that he be banned from the thread or anything daft like that.
