I remember hearing that Moyes and Woodard wanted to be a little more transparent with the fans last season... Good to see Woodward has learnt from his mistakes!

Yep, regardless of what is or isn't happening with Vidal, I think Shaw is right. We looked like prats last season and aren't in a rush to end up in the same position again. Think it has more to do with Woodward knowing he ended up looking stupid than Lvg turning up and demanding a change of approach.

In this information vacuum journalists' reports are going to be more erratic, less reliable and more contradictory. Which kind of sucks for us as we got used to knowing exactly when the club were briefing journos. Better from the club's point of view though.

First we are interested, then we baulk at the fee, then we agree , then we decide to have no interest at all. Do people actually keep up with all this bollocks? And does the express bother to even make sense?

Didn't the Mirror, the paper DiscorMirror works for report 24 hours ago we are interested but not at 34mil and then after say something about us cancelling the deal because of Vidal's knee. Now Vidal has never even been on are radar. Jackson even said earlier today Vidal is on LVG's radar and he's saying he isn't.

They've been all left confused by Woody.

Pretty obvious nobodys got a fecking clue what's going on, probably not even Mitten at this point.

First we were close to getting him, then we think he's overpriced and now we haven't even spoke to Juventus

Why the hell would someone fake his account? It's not like he is famous or something.

I swear some journalists see others tweeting about their sources and quickly pretend they too have inside sources with bullshit tweets.

This really tells anything that has to be known, we're briefing whatever we want to journos, ultimately i think the good ol' days where we had a few journos that the club briefed reliable info to are gone.

The club is having a laugh with all these troll briefings. This is Mirror's article from a couple of days ago:

Manchester United play transfer hardball over Arturo Vidal as Juventus demand £34million

...
They have looked at the Chile World Cup midfielder as they rebuild after last season’s woeful campaign and are impressed with his goalscoring record.

So which one is it?

Again this inconsistency is maddening. Crafton just reported this yesterday

Not usually a massive fan of this guy, but this is common sense. The deal could be nearly done or not going to be done, but our answer looks like it'll be the same to the press regardless. The leaks of last season have well and truly stopped. Rightly so too, even though that's frustrating for us.

Yeah, three quarters of the journalists will be blacklisted at this rate. Nobody has a clue.

What we do know, however, is that:
  • Vidal effectively revealed Manchester United's interest
  • Juventus' manager, Conte, has resigned

Christ, that's the last time I'm indulging in some muppetry. Why the feck would someone go to the effort to fake his account?
Somebody making a fake account of somebody who is just a United supporter. We really have seen it all now

Yep, this in truth is all we have to work with right now.

It's going to be a long night, Caf. I'm going to get the supplies in.

Right going to sleep now.

Hopefully no more stupid twists.

I think the Conte saga might have something to do with us distancing ourselves as well, Juventus are probably a bit pissed off at the moment.

Not Vidal related but feck me, how could they let that happen?

Shit ownership, poor choice in managers, reliant on loan system last couple of seasons. Although it was a season the fans will remember, getting promoted to the premier league was the worst thing to happen to them.

Maybe we're burning out the rats.

Woody feeds false information to United staff one at a time, and see if the story pops up in a tabloid or a journo's twitter account an hour later.

It's all well and good saying he's not reliable because of this etc. but he doesn't really contradict himself there at all..
From saying he's a target, to one of the many on our radar to not a target at all? How is that not a contradiction? Not saying he's making shit up, I think we're just briefing him (and others) false info personally, but that's him saying opposite things pretty much.

No reserves players available? Jesus.

I don't think we have, the journalists know nothing. Besides if they are so pissed off, how come they are perfectly happy to take our players.
