Untill ogden/Mitten say its off, it will be on like donkey kong.
You can stick your jacksons and disco fecking mirror up your arse. The same said pogba was staying at united when italian journos said he was off. I know which i will believe. Vidal himself has almost confirmed our interest. Rest all can feck off!
Even Ogden I wouldn't really trust this window really. Not saying he isn't reliable, I just think we're briefing the media false reports. Remember Herrera? When all the reports came out from Bilbao, he came out and said last he heard we weren't interested in him at all and it's probably not true, then the next day he finds out it's real. I'm almost positive we're just denying everything until things are actually official, from our side at least.

"Hi United, David McDonnell here, are you in negotiations with Juventus for Vidal?"

Do you really expect the club to say yes, even if we are?

Funny how the muppets complain that everyone chooses to believe the negative reports but call bullshit on positive ones. It's the exact fecking polar opposite. If Jamie Jackson said we were interested they'd all ve saying how he's been the most reliable journalist recently, which he has.

The likes of Ogden earnt their god-like status on here by saying what people wanted to hear. He went up against Jackson on Kroos and it turned out Jackson had the better sources.

He was never on our radar?

My guess is we're saving face.
Saving face for what?
Feck sake, you've got Italian reporters saying we're very close but we completely disregard them and panic over Jamie Jackson and Disco Mirror.

We're the polar opposite to last summer when we were all too happy to divulge information on our interest in Fabregas. My guess? Woodward's learned his lesson. "I don't talk to journalists." *CLICK*

I can't believe that Vidal is not on our radar.

Personally feel that they've been briefed wrong now.

The only reliable person who has reported negotiations is Mitten. The Guardian, Mirror, Daily Mail and Ducker have all either said or suggested it isn't going to happen. Artruoff.

He was wrong on both Shaw and Herrera. When did Ogden say this about Kroos?

They are talking to journalists though. If they weren't then Mcdonnell and Jackson would have nothing to tweet.

Mcdonnell was banned by the club?

And wasn't Jackson calling his agent yesterday?

Have you noticed how one Journo will say something new then over the next 30mins or so, all the others will come out saying the same thing or changing the wording slightly. They all just feed off each other, its pretty cringeworthy really and it shows just how much the vast majority of them don't have a clue.

They're probably just denying everything until it's official. Like we did to Ogden even with Herrera. Like we did with Shaw to Jackson. It's a much smarter thing to do then last summer and I think Woodward has learnt that. The report that we aren't interested that Mcdonnell did is clear evidence to that when Vidal himself said this week twice that we're an option and one of the biggest teams in the world and all that. So we clearly are interested, and LvG is known to be a huge fan of his.

Jackson was wrong with Kroos as well, he said that it was likely he was going to stay and sign a new contract in April.

No wonder he couldn't get in the Jackson 5.

We've either briefed the media to play down talks to keep a lid on things or we are seriously fee'ing stupid if he isn't on our radar when you look at our current midfield.
Look at Van Gaals quotes regarding his admiration for Vidal in the past. Van Gaal is now at a club that has the stature and money to get him his player.
There is no way that Van Gaal doesn't want Vidal, whether we get him is a different thing altogether though.

This really tells anything that has to be known, we're briefing whatever we want to journos, ultimately i think the good ol' days where we had a few journos that the club briefed reliable info to are gone.

Out of interest, what have been Mitten's scoops that have made him so trustworthy in everyones eyes?

I've always got the impression he just says a lot of what people want to hear and then we get 'Mitten's trustworthy mate, trust me' parroted by everyone.

Very strange this one, someone has told them something, to say no interest and never has been is even odder after days of reports about it, not all from crap sources either.

Hard to find motive to it, other than a negotiating tactic, if we have no interest just say nothing, and let us muppets waste our time in peace, saying this only whips it up even more with all the conflicting reports.

This joke is not even funny anymore. I suggest you respect your fellow posters, u know his username is solidstate.

Except SolidState really isn't his username.

But he says that it's on, so it's on like Donkey King. I mean Kong.

I have a feeling all of these reporters are just guessing. van Gaal doesn't really strike me as one to have good relationships with reporters so why would he let Woodward brief them?
