Wait so his contact in London on the RVP deal was presumably at the 'arsenal' end, hence the 'being in London' part. So how the feck would the same London contact have a clue that Manchester United are signing Vidal from Juventus?
Get your logic out of here! ;)

Maybe he forgot United head office is situated in Mayfair - London.
Anyway mute point, leaks don't have to be from clubs, could be from any source involved in a transfer, including other firms etc.

EDIT: Although I do not really believe this guy is at all ITK

Woodward operates from London no ? United have offices there so theoretically he could have some sort of contact in some of the suits at United.

Good point. I wonder where/who this guy is getting his info from. I mean if he was on about RvP then he has to have at least a pretty decent contact.

I'm watching the show, it's on right now. He said he thinks that Herrera and Shaw won't be our only signings and he think that we're more than likely to add at least 2 more before pre season. It was all his personal opinion.

Does Paddy mean Herrera and Shaw? Could be an old quote being recycled now?

Nah, his show was on right now apparently. Saw a few tweeting about it.

Not sure what context he said it though. As in guessing or jokingly could be possible.

Then it'd be "contacts at the club" rather than the location. He used London as that's where Arsenal are based. His RVP tweet was a full 4 days before it was officially announced. Press speculation had been rampant about the deal for weeks and weeks before that. Had he said it's done and the next day it was, maybe. But all agreed and four days delay to announce it?

Unlikely for me.

Clearly he's been talking with Alexis Sanchez. How do people miss this stuff? :wenger:

Realistically, when was the last time one of our signings was broke by a complete nobody?

English and Italian media are completely oblivious to any talks between the 2 clubs even taking place, yet some random twat on twitter can confirm we're signing him for £35m? Seems like a stab in the dark that could easily come off based on what's already been reported, just like apparently the other thing he got right 2 years ago.

He obviously means the biggest window signing for United.

He actually means biggest of the window full stop. He said Suarez better quality, Vidal bigger impact.

Nah, I was watching and it wasn't said jokingly. Whether he knows something is another matter. Interestingly, the last time he said something similar we signed Herrera and Shaw a few days later

MUTV's Paddy is the closest official source so far. We can surely believe him more than Twitter.

Something's ON.

These tweets could have something though as if we're going on the tour friday we presumably want to get as much done before then as we can. It's not a definitive deadline but you'd think this is what they're aiming for.

Pointless listening to anything Paddy Crerand says. He knows as much as me and you. Denied Fergie was retiring on the morning it was announced ffs.

Or he's got lucky and guessed a transfer which at the time seemed on, whilst deleting tweets of all bullshit he's made up.

Philippe Auclair confirmed the transfer 2 or 3 weeks before it happened.

He doesn't even get the guy's name he's been sitting next to every week for the last four years right. I wouldn't be holding my breath with anything Paddy says. I don't imagine he's on either van Gaal or Woodward's BT Friends & Family list.

Now, me on the other hand...
He works for MUTV. That's something more substantial to me than Twitter's freelancers.

So we have been linked to Hummels, Vidal and Di Maria as the major signings. If we were to pull off all 3 which would be our biggest transfer of the window in people's opinions.

If we pulled off all three we'd have an incredible title challenge with ourselves and Chelsea.

We won't though.

In the magical world where that is possible, Vidal would benefit us the most but Hummels would actually be the more impressive signing in terms of how difficult it would be to prize him from his current club.

Obviously won't happen though, we'd be doing very well to get just one of those superstars.
