Adam Crafton is the most reliable these days. Gets everything right.
I hope and think Ducker knows feck all. Doestn seem like we are briefing the press these days. All the interesting news came from Italian or Chilean reports.
It's clear that Ducker and Ogden haven't been leaked much news from the club. Ducker in particular is covering all bases at all times.
Very reliable, but this doesn't worry me too much.
Where is this Ducker article anyway?
Yep, here's what he said:Webcast apparently
So he did a webchat and this is what he said:
I believe Van Gaal is planning on playing 4-3-3 primarily next season although it wouldn't surprise me if you saw 5-3-2 enlisted on occasion.
United want to keep Evra but his wife, Sandra, is desperate to leave Manchester - she has been for a good while - and the club don't want to stand in his way in that regard given what a good servant he has been. It's a real blow if you ask me - he's a big character with a lot of experience and would have helped Luke Shaw settle in.
Part of the reason his decline was accelerated in recent years was because he was being asked to play a ridiculous number of games for a guy in his thirties who is all about bombing forward. In terms of signings, I believe they want to sign another left back, a centre-half and at least one more midfielder plus maybe a winger-forward type.
I'm told Di Maria is on the radar but that there's been no contact with the player or Real Madrid, which would suggest there's one or two others that the club are pursuing first. From what I was told last night, I think the Vidal rumours have taken on a life of their own.
I don't believe United are actively pursuing him at this stage and although I'm not saying things won't change, it looks like Juventus are really trying to create a market for him, in much the same way as Benfica did with Nicolas Gaitan a couple of years back.
Not an article, the quoted are apparently off a webchat he's doing for the TimesWhere is this Ducker article anyway?
Andy Mitten has been quiet enough too, but has said to expect alot of action this week now that LvG's at OT.
Also, Sport Witness are very reliable & sceptical about all these ITK's & seem hell-bent on calling them out. With them & Mitten, thats where i'd place my trust regarding United & this window..
I think he seems decent and pretty sensible but he's treated like some sort of oracle on here and I can't for the life of me think why. Pick any of the 'name' journalists you like, Ogden, Ducker, Jackson, and I suspect they have the same sort of success rate as Andy Mitten. He clearly has some contacts, but he also has a private, paid forum that he constantly has to generate content for.Our (reoccuring) interest in Herrera came out of the blue. Any other deal with foreign players could/would follow similar pattern. What Ducker "thinks" and what Ducker "knows" are seperate issues at this point.
@alastair Andy Mitten is close to the club in one way or another.
I remember reading that a while back but wasnt that with Nike. Was hoping we had changed it for adidas by getting a small portion of the profits.
Yep, here's what he said:
Not 'til Wednesday.Has LvG actually made it to his office yet?
With Nike we earned a proportion of profits. If I recall the base deal was for around £25-26m a year, whilst last year we earned £38m total (presumably around £12m via the profit share).
I imagine the £70m would either be a set figure and not include a profit share (with United preferring the money up front), or will have taken the profit share into account (e.g. £55m + c. £15m per year in profit-share).
Either way it's an incredible deal, but it is not more than double Real Madrid for example.

There hasn't been a credible source that we are signing Vidal.
Exactly. The only thing is when so many people are saying it there may be something in it. But still, take it all with a pinch of salt until some reliable outlets report it.There hasn't been a credible source that we are signing Vidal.
Wasn't there rumours of Evra playing away from home at one stage? If that's true about Evra's wife then what an ungrateful tart she is. Can't understand for the life of me why footballers get married.

That's reassuring. Turns out you don't just talk complete nonsense when you're posting about me and my opinions on our strikers.
I know. Who would want to move to Italy rather than stay in tropical Manchester? Baffling. If that's true about Evra's wife then what an ungrateful tart she is. Can't understand for the life of me why footballers get married.

Really the only credible source is either United or Juve announcing the deal.

Yup no denying that. I think us willing to negotiate long deals counts in our favour as well. I dont think other clubs sign 10-15 year deals so we can demand more to start with.

Thiago Silva, David Luiz and Pepe, that is one big accident waiting to happen.
Yep, no amount of forwards will cover up that defensive duo of clowns. Silva is face palming as we speak.Thiago Silva, David Luiz and Pepe, that is one big accident waiting to happen.
