Well I feel for you. His posts are absolutely wank and he's the ringleader of a new breed of idiots that seem to exist solely to raid into this thread, multiple times a day, to tell us all how horrendous the Club/Woodward is because a team like Everton are being linked with Ivan bloody Perisic.

The World Cup is on, it's the middle of June, and our new manager has just presided over a 5-1 win against the champions of the world. But Carlos Vela might be on his way to Arsenal so I might just throw myself off of the nearest pier.

I'm fairly certain he's going, and sounds like Everton is signing someone that would cause a meltdown (of negativity) if we signed him, so better get ready to do some drowning

Oh no doubt. But I'd much prefer a Matic-Fabregas playing behind Oscar. Perfect 3 right there. Matic being the defensive hound, Fabregas being the box-to-box and Oscar floating being the wonderful AMF he is.

Your trio no doubt is lovely, but I think due to the talent and ceiling Oscar has - I'd prefer him in there. Then again, Mourinho has never been much of a "Look long-term" type of guy.
Very true. I know Chelsea fans who are annoyed about Jose's lack of a long term plan. One of my mates who's a Chelsea fan is pissed off that they're going to sign Luis for 20m rather than signing a younger player for either a similar of higher price.

There have been quite a few players who have decided their future during the WC, and there will most likely be a few more. Lukaku is probably one of our main targets, unrealistic or not, so it could stall other deals/lead to other hiccups etc, which is why i posted it.

The sarcasm wasn't aimed at you fella, it was aimed at all the muppets crying at Woodward for not pushing any deals through yet.

As if any of the players we are looking at could afford to be in constant talks with their agent and having serious thoughts about their future while they need to be focusing on training and their next game.

There's about a month left assuming their team get to the finals, a week or two if they don't, then they have the best part of 2 months to sort it with no pressure.

Lack of long term plan? They have plenty of young players and are bringing in experienced instant impact players to make up for the fact Lampard, Cole and soon Terry wont be there anymore. They clearly have the right idea.

Chelsea could line up as
-------Courtois---------
--azp---cahill---terry---luis
--ramires--fabregas--kroos--
--Hazard---Costa---oscar

fecking good team that is. It will also play mourinho's favoured 4-3-3. With kroos as deep lying, ramires box to box and fabregas attacking midfielder. It could also be a 4-2-3-1.

-------Courtois---------
--azp---cahill---terry---luis
-----ramires---kroos------
-oscar---fabregas---hazard
---------costa-------------

If Chelsea sign Kroos, Oscar will be the one to miss out.

Courtois

Azpilicueta Cahill Terry Luis

Matic Kroos

Willian Fabregas Hazard

Costa

Nailed on. Oscar wouldn't be happy at all.

Unless they are planning on moving Hazard on to PSG? Seems to have been suggested but shot down in recent weeks...

You wouldn't rather Oscar over Willian in that formation?

Can somebody point me in the direction of Twitter Discussion, cause there's feck all in here.

If Woodward doesn't deliver this summer, I'm going to brand him Ed Woody woodpecker, the transfer fecker.

Don't think he will though, I think we're going to see him pull off a couple of "coups" this window, you wait and see.

I would. Mourinho wouldn't.

Fair enough, I'd argue that Oscars flexibility would see him covering enough games along that 3 before he matures fully and makes the 10 his own. At the end of the day they won't play the same 11 all season.

Ah, my bad.

Almost want him to fail and see if that name takes off and go viral.

Also, it all depends on what people define as "fail"? Last year he signed 2 midfielders, one widely acclaimed as world class, the other clearly a manager's favourite.

Sure, he overpaid for both but most of the criticism he's getting is that he's penny pincher that doesn't know how to spend money

Isn't he supposed to be like one of the biggest talents to come from Croatia?

Well he has a youtube video titled, 'Robert Muric new sensation: Can't stop the Rob' ...so i am guessing he is the new everything. But seriously though, have heard a bit about his talent, highly rated winger. Maybe some one who follows dinamo zagreb can share more light.

It was the chasing of Fabregas who clearly didn't want to play under a midtable manager which left us little time to conduct other business.

He just came to the job last summer, did you expect him to tell David "the chosen one" Moyes to piss off about Fabregas but he's a shitty mid table manager? It's not his fault he trusted the manager's judgement.

No-one knew Moyes would be that bad, many expected at least top 4 with the squad.

We failed to move on despite it being made apparent on several occasions throughout the summer window that Fabregas wasn't interested.

And perhaps he made an error in judgement. He still recovered enough to buy a CM.

Which CM did we sign when we spent a whole summer being linked to Sneijder under Gill?

Ed's far from perfect but he hasn't been as bad as many say (at least in terms of transfers).

Who to believe?

However, Schalke Sporting Director Horst Heldt has suggested the only reason that Arsenal failed to land the attacking midfielder was because they didn’t offer enough cash.

Asked about the Gunners offer by German television channel SPORT1, Heldt replied: ‘It was a lot of money, but it wasn’t enough for us.’

Heldt also denied claims that Bayern had tabled a rival bid. ‘No, definitely not,’ he said.

433 is the new formation

Kroos isn't coming anyway…as it stands.

Mata overpaid? He was named Chelsea's best player twice, and is one of the best #10 in the world, he is on the same level as Ozil, and Silva, atm a little lower but when he was in form he was at the same level.

Can't doubt you, you were accurate with fabregas transfer.

Only way someone like Kroos comes in is if they sell Ramires. They don't but if silly money comes in for him they'll be tempted. Ramires has been poor last 18 months. Happily have Kroos.

Witsel was in London a few weeks ago…

We'll see what happens there.

What have you got your money on? ;)

Witsel would surely be a more likely Ramires replacement than Kroos. A midfield 3 containing 2 primarily technical, creative midfielders, looks a little bit too 'soft' for a Mourinho side.

Transfer wise. Nothing as there is nothing in the offing. Diest Costa and Felipe Luis odds were pointless, they've been so small since February. Had Fabregas at 10/1 with £20 to join (money is tight as a student with rent etc hence the low stakes).

All money is on the WC. Got Belgium at 160/1 2.5 years ago. Stuck £100 on them so £16,000 if they win and have £50 E/W on them reaching the Final. France at 30/1 was where my money went last week. Down to 15/1 now.

Catalan press report for months that Xavi could leave, all fine. Fabregas suggests Xavi may go, Catalan press upset. Babies. #ESP

feck me those flags get big on here don't they?

If Xavi is available, I would unquestionably like to see us go for him. Would hate to see him end up Stateside / Middle East, think he could certainly do a job for a year or two (especially with no Champions League).

One of the benefits of getting a player like Xavi would be him paying dividends immediately in the champions league even if he cannot adjust to the pace of the PL. I think he'd need a lot more help from his midfield partners to make a smooth transition to England.

Take Vermaelen agent denial w/pinch of salt. Personal terms with #mufc in place. Move to happen after WC once clubs agree fee (£8.5-10mil)
