What does it say ? :)

My grasp of Spanish is limited for maybe 10 words..
Vidal is close to Man Utd move is basically what the Chilean Journalist tweeted. He also called the Sanchez to Arsenal deal before anyone else from what i've been reading.

Just waiting for Sport Witness to run the rule over this story.

Is this journo reliable though?

Who the hell cares!

 This can't be a serious post.

Completely serious, he is getting old and it was very apparent the last 1-2 seasons with Barcelona. To fit him into the team we would have to completely change the style and formation and I'm not sure we have the personnel to play in a system that would get the best out of Xavi. I am of the opinion that completely changing a team to get the max out of a player on the decline for two years or so is a mistake, I would rather build for the future.

I am not saying he is not good enough by any means, despite getting older. He is by far better than anything we have or anything in the league I just don't think it would be a great move for the team as a whole. Your post is condescending which is a bit odd as you probably don't know much about the Sounders or the system they play so to assume you would know better than someone that watches almost every one of their matches is ridiculous.

It would be akin to trying to stick a big powerful midfielder that is not very good technically in for Barcelona at the height of their tiki-taka football, it doesn't mean that player is not good enough it just means he is not a good fit for that system. Surely you can understand that?

Hummels is a like for like replacement for Vidic. That would be brilliant business.
It would be an amazing transfer if we could pull it off but as a center back he's about the opposite of Vidic. If anything he'd be a Rio type replacement, the ball player defender who reads the game well rather then gets stuck in and ours his head wherever.

"Arturo Videl is close to joining Man UTD and would be another Chilean addition to the Premier League."
Arturo Vidal very close to joining Manchester United and would add another Chilean to the Premier League.

Cheers guys !

Interesting to see who we are going to sign. Starting to think we are after schweinsteiger to partner Herrera, which would explain our lack of action in the transfer market at the moment. Hummels probably the other one

Why would it explain our lack of action?

After the initial signings of Herrera and Shaw, we need to make a special effort in this window. We finished 7th last season and have some glaring weaknesses. We have to get a a world class or potentially world class CM/DM. Even our wings are pretty average. So with the huge sponsor deals announced as well, we need those couple of big name signings.

For those RTing Pedro Hernandez on Vidal. He's a Chilean lecturer. An ITK already told off by Chilean journalists for twisting their quotes.
