Well Bayern have a director of football who does have a large say in transfers so it wouldn't surprise me if Matthias Sammer wants Vidal.

I don't think they will sign anyone who is that big money without Pep's agreement.

Vidal at 27 isn't really a Bayern type signing anyway for the money touted.

Everyone is still saying we're 'preparing a bid' to 'test their resolve'. It doesn't fill you with great confidence, does it? I hope it's just a case of the journalists being out of the loop again and resorting to cliches and generic statements, otherwise what is with all the pussyfooting around?

These preparing bids stories are mostly invariably page filling rubbish.

Anyway, i think we are at what Di Marzio reported. We enquired regarding him from Juventus and they don't wanna sell, Vidal maybe keen on moving but is fine either way and we haven't moved further from that yet.

So reporters know we are potentially interested but don't know if we are planning to move forward with that or not. Or just sign someone else etc..

This is precisely the point imo. I think i'm going to ignore all United related news until we hear an actual confirmed bid has been placed.

So hitch in the Suarez deal then ? Thought everyone was reporting it as done for 63 million pounds.

I'd give Bebe a go, I think all players deserve a chance.

He's had his go already but He'll come back for Pre season training as it is and be assesed again. If the coaches see a dramatic improvement surely he will get a chance again atleast on tour.

If not he'll probably be sold somewhere in the Portuguese league for little money.

He's a different case though Bebe. He was pushed in the deep end despite not having much football experience, I wouldn't justify that as "a go" at all. He's far more prepared this time round and deserves his chance.

I'm still not convinced Gotze or Lewandowski were Pep's choices.

Gotze came to work with Pep in the first place. And was on of the reasons they appointed Pep too reportedly changing philosophy.

Lewandowski probably wasn't but him on a free at that age while weakening the main rivals was too good a oppurtunity to miss.

Disagree, not a great season but a quality player.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I do rate Bender. I've seen him grow up in my local clubs ranks and I do know both Benders personally. Both of them are pretty decent blokes, too. I just don't agree with the comment that 15m would be a 'steal', as if 15m was nothing. If you ask me, 15m seems like exactly the value of Bender, who didn't make the world cup for Germany at the age of 25. Not that much of a deal, but gives you a hint of his value.

The press have no idea what's going on with us and our name is being used as click bait.

The prices bandied about for those we're supposedly pursuing are wildly erratic from day-to-day with the last tweet I saw before posting this saying £47m!! for Di Maria! :wenger:

If we do have something major planned, then the parties concerned are keeping it well under wraps, which suggests to me that nothing has happened regarding Vidal because Juve would be shouting it from the rooftops to entice a bidding war.

Like i keep saying, no-one knows what's going on - we have been lined up with so many players, I've never known a summer like it!

I personally think we'll bring in 3-4 more players but they'll be surprises no-one expected.

Wasn't Neymar Pep's first choice? But Sammer suggested Gotze instead due to not wanting to sign a South American due to past failures (excluding Dante and Gustavo because they were proven in Germany)

Yeah, there have been reports to that regard too but Barca had Neymar wrapped up pretty early anyway in a dodgy deal.(So even a late Real Madrid hijack attempt didn't matter either.)

Even if those reports were true and he wanted Neymar first, i don't think he was unhappy with Gotze at all.

So it basically it seems no one has a idea what we are doing or we are doing nothing at all.

Imagine if we were the club Kroos had agreed to join all this while.
