*takes step back*

But seriously, I've never heard a more ridiculous idea than clubs specifically not doing business with another club that isn't an arch rival.
I heard one almost as bad once, it was mostly about us signing Moyes to be a failure on purpose, and him being in on it.
I thought he was Liverpool bound, What happened?
Sevilla fecked them off.

I'd rather go to £40m and throw Evra on top. Rumours say Zaha will leave aswell, which will leave us with only Young, Januzaj and Valencia - thats just not enough. Even if van Gaal wants to play 3-4-3, he will need wingers, bcos that system wont work against everyone, and in all fairness, going Mata, RVP and Rooney upfront with no proper players to sub in/out is gunna run us dry. Even if we end up with Di Maria, I still feel Nani would have a role to play under van Gaal - a much larger role than Valencia, whose too one-dimensional and cannot even pass 3yards with his left foot.

Spend £50m on Vidal, sign Di
Maria and/or Sanchez, then we get negotiate a transfer to Juventus for Nani.
Sanchez will join Arsenal and Di Maria will sign for either PSG or Monaco. Can't see either of then coming here. I'd prefer Nani to stay over Valencia but if he is needed for the Vidal transfer then so be it.

 No fecker knows what is actually going on with Vidal.

I guess it was always inevitable. If you're looking to sign world class players, other big teams will get involved. If Bayern's interest is real then I'd expect Vidal to go there. Maybe it will open up the opportunity for Schweinsteiger? Probably not but well, you never know.

Vidal is not a Pep type player at all. This is just paper talk IMO.

We still have a decent chance imo. Just need to stump up the cash. No matter who we're facing competition with. It always comes down to money.

Everyone is still saying we're 'preparing a bid' to 'test their resolve'. It doesn't fill you with great confidence, does it? I hope it's just a case of the journalists being out of the loop again and resorting to cliches and generic statements, otherwise what is with all the pussyfooting around?

Well Bayern have a director of football who does have a large say in transfers so it wouldn't surprise me if Matthias Sammer wants Vidal.

Bayern don't strike me as a club who will approach to someone who previously went back on their word to join them.
