So Alexis wants to leave for a club that's won almost squad since forever - which celebrates 4th place finishes and FA Cup victories like the World Cup.
Than a club that suffered a minor blip due to deficient managerialship and has seen a change of regimen to a renowned tactician - a club that's won half of the League titles in the past decade on top of a European Cup and 2 more final appearances and is one of the 3 biggest in the whole world ?

Good luck to him then. We'll look elsewhere.

His missus probably prefers London.. Its all about the wags these days & what they want..

Shame Sanchez wasnt gay - he'd love it in Manchester..

Look at his display picture, no know would tell that guy anything, therefore he's unreliable.

Does Manchester have a significant LGBT community ?

Rumours now that bayern want vidal to replace kroos

Why would they let a player go, essentially because they won't pay him what he thinks he's worth, to pay a higher transfer fee than they receive as well as at least what Kroos wanted in terms of wages?

Doesn't make sense to me to be honest.

He doesn't strike me as a Pep player either. He won't sit like Kroos does.

Done a bit of research on this Schira guy.Appartantly he specialises in transfer and writes in a weekly Italian news magazine called Panorama. He also has a website called tuttob.com. Doesn't seem to be the most reliable as far as I can make out, maybe an Italian speaker might be able to tell us more.

How does he sit as a matter of interest - legs crossed?

Surely if we sign Vidal then it might persuade Sanchez to come. All this talk about no CL being off putting. It's only for a year and with those players we will be challenging for the title next year.

Luke Shaw, Thomas Vermaelen, Ander Herrera and another quality midfielder...and you would not be satisfied ? The best young defender in the country and 2 central midfielders of the highest quality...quite

After the club have been briefing the press about £150/£200 million warchests and world class signings, then no, the above four would be a let down.

The club have put themselves on a pedestal, now they must deliver.

Christ.

As I said, in context of what the club have been 'promising', then that doesn't live up to it. Two young players with potential, an injury prone and not very good defender and this mystery midfielder. Hardly setting the world alight is it??

Maybe they dont get on (Vidal slipped the hand on Sanchez' Ma) & Vidal runs a mile because Sanchez wants to go to Juve.. Sanchez wont come to United because Vidal might end up here - so he tries for Arsenal move instead.. Lots of possibilities with this rumour..

We would have spent close to 100m in players but you will not be satisfied because some media sources said we'd spend 200m. Get a fecking grip.

If you take into account Mata as well. We've already spent near £90 million. Two other players will push that to near £150 million.

Indeed. I imagine most players will look more long term.

All the talk is that he likes a move to Arsenal. Perhaps that's because we haven't yet played our hand yet - who knows.

United would, you would think have a chance. Top manager, lots of money and big plans. What's not to like?

Arsenal are in the CL, but haven't made a mark in it for years. Perennial top 4 is an achievement but they seem to lack ambition.

Things changed when Moyes was sacked. Kroos and Carvalho would probably be United players, Van Persie would be on the verge of submitting a transfer request and Cavani may have actually materialised. Moyes may have blasted big money on a centre half like Mangala, too. And then there's Shaw.

I don't think Van Gaal sees it the way you do. Herrera and Shaw are what I consider to he classic United signings. Young, talented, potential and on the verge of something very good. Yes, we still need that midfielder, but our business so far has been fine. In a normal summer, it'd be dubbed fantastic.

Exactly, I find it weird that he has turned United down. Fair enough if it was Chelsea or City but not Arsenal or Liverpool.

Woodwood has been talking about an unprecedented amount of spending, and bringing in world class players. So thats what I expect. Not because I don't have a grip, but because thats what the club have been running there mouth saying for the past 6 months. Now they have to deliver.

If the club (see Woody) hadn't been running its mouth talking about unprecedented amounts of spending, bringing in world class players, and wanting more top players at the club then I agree, this would be seen as a good Summer (if it materializes). But as I say, the club have set themselves up now and now have to deliver. They have no one else to blame if they don't follow up all the talk.

Are we ever going to buy a midfielder that stops people saying we still need another one?

£25m my ass, Everton won't entertain anything less that £35m and if City/Chelsea/United come calling he will probably cost £40m.
