If we manage to get Hummels, Vidal and Di Maria, this summer would prove to be the best ever for United. Very unlikely we'll end up purchasing those three mentioned though.

We've no idea what van Gaal thinks of Di Maria. He won't take him just because he's on offer. He has a very specific idea as to what he thinks a player needs to be in certain positions. My guess is if Di Maria is on the list the we'd be interested, if not we'll work our way through our own pre-identified targets first.
The Scouse prove their stupidity once again. 80 million ain't going to get you a player of Luis' quality right now. No one available that's that good. Get Sanchez in and lessen the burden of having to find a world-class player, and then spend the other 40 million or so on one good player or on several decent players.

Regardless of who else we sign, we need another quality CM. That's our most pressing need and the transfer window has to be considered a failure unless we meet it. Even the signing of Strootman in January could be too late.
I agree but whether we get that top quality remains to be seen, but it shouldn't stop us getting a top quality wide player personally I'd go all out for a winger and midfielder (Di Maria and Vidal) and go for a cheap option at CB De Vrij or Vermaelen.
From no shirt sponsor to 4 in less than 10 years. Even the glazers haven't gone that far yet, no doubt this will give them ideas.
