Price isn't even the issue here. If we play a midfield 3 it will be a defensive midfielder, a box to box midfielder and a playmaker and the box to box is already Herrera and the playmaker is Mata. Only one player is missing.

Yes. Agree 100% that the #6 is all that is missing in that system (Apparently LVG's favoured system). However he could also go for a double pivot with two box to box players (e.g. Herrera and Vidal) behind the playmaker.

Pounds. Read it's 45m euros so the 37m quid is about right.

Cheers, I just went on A Bola and found a few article confirming 45MEuros too. Same articles say that United have offered 37.7M Euros and won't go higher.

I found the comments section quite interesting. Lots of Sporting fans saying that this is the best deal ever for them, and that he is worth nothing like that money. Comments like "United are being fooled into thinking they are buying a pearl". Could be sour grapes I suppose or fans logic i.e. Best player ever until he wants to leave, and then he becomes a bit shit.

But still. Seeing as I've seen next to nothing of this lad and the fee is huge. Makes me nervous.

Surely if we were gonna spend £37m or so on a midfielder as established, or rather un-established as Carvalho we could stretch further for someone like Vidal. I mean by some accounts we're trying but I'd be surprised if this happens that we couldn't have made Vidal happen.

I don't think the price is a problem. If you buy the right players, you become successful and the more successful you become the more money you make. After seeing him xxx amount of times, the club must have an idea. There's no certainties but if he lives up to his potential then he maintains his value. Ideally though you're not thinking of that because you'd be signing a 21 year old who will improve and could potentially help win the club trophies over the next year + years. I don't know where people get these valuations from. The only thing that matters is, can he come in and do the job?

Ducker said he doesn't think we are in for carvalho.

Rumours on twitter that a 56 million pound bid has been made for suarez.

I think they should be getting nearer to 80 million. The bite incident has really shafted Liverpool if 56 million is what he ends up going for.

I'm sure we won't be buying Carvalho AND Vidal. I know which one is more likely.

Yeah, Strootman.

Don't think there is any truth in the Carvalho rumours. He was on Moyes list and if you look at the Shaw deal, I think we'd be more advanced.

I hope we're atleast in for Sanchez as it will show we 're looking to purchase a wide forward type player.

I will be seriously pee'd off if we let a world class talent like Alexis just go to Arsenal without even attempting to bring him here. I say offer the guy what ever he wants, see how much having one season out of the UCL will really throw him.

It's funny because I get the BOlieve reference.

Fact of the day: Did you know the man who 'plays' Bo Dallas is the real life brother of fellow Wrestler Bray Wyatt?
Didn't know until a week ago tbh. You can only imagine what both will be capable of if they work together.

Arsenal are the only club I know of that could possess both Ozil and Sanchez and still not worry me.

There's no point wishing we sign him if LvG doesnt want him..

Obviously but even still, going in to another season with the likes of Nani/Young as your first team wingers is worrying. Sanchez would be a great addition.
