Maybe something that @Arruda, @Sly or @SportingCP96 could comment on?

James can easily play on the wing. Has done in the past, though he has excelled as a number 10, it's a bit different to those 3 as he's been a winger before too.
Yeah I know he can, was more just going on a tangent about the Silva point and so many people wishing we had someone like him, while already having 2 of a similar type. Still though, with James, it would be buying another mainly #10 and forcing people out of position even if it's slightly. And again not fixing the lack of pace issue. A winger like Sanchez is exactly what we need pretty much, and what we've lacked since nani and Valencia lost form.

If we spent another £35m surely that will our last 'big' transfer this summer?
My heart is set on Vidal. :(
It has been widely reported that we have between £150-£200 million to spend. Probably horseshit, but you never know.

I'd say £40 million is a lot for him, when you take into account the fact Barca want to sell him as well. Am I right in saying he has had a poor season with Barca? (Pretty sure I heard one of the commentators saying it during the Chile game). I agree we need a new winger. It's going to be tough to fit the attacking players we have now let alone sign more attacking players but I'm assuming a few will leave. I wouldn't pay over £30 million for Sanchez.
He was very good last season and had a great end product (21 goals and 15 assists). From their strikers, only Messi played more than him and was more influential than him. I think that he comfortably outperformed Neymar.

However, they probably want to give more influence to Neymar and they also want Suarez, which means that most likely he would go to bench. Anyway, I doubt that 50m euro is true, unless there will be clubs going into a bidding far, he'll go for cheaper. 30-35m euro IMO. And worth every cent of it if we sign him.

@Damien It's a Football database website that also has football news. Don't know how reliable they usually are, but from what I understood from the comments it's a leak that came from some ITK in the Sporting forum.

If we were to lose Chicha, I'd be gutted if he went to another English club. Would be horrible watching him play against us :(
Was just going to say the same thing :( Hope it's false and he goes to some smaller Spanish club like Bilbao

How many seasons has William even been playing for and how old is he? Never heard his name until around January when we were linked with him.

I have never seen him, but if i'm not mistaken it's his first season as a starter for the sporting and before that he was in Belgium on loan and wasn't great.

Ah impressive stats I always thought pedro was the better winger out of the two of them. Sanchez was very sharp at the World Cup.

Yeah a lot of reports have said Barca want to sell Sanchez and use the money to fund a deal for Suarez. Yeah I agree around 30m euros seems a fair price for him, anymore than that and I would rather take a gamble on Depay and try develop him into a great player.

There is now way in hell that we are paying 40m for Carvalho. Jesus, they're the sorts of figures being branded about for the likes of Sanchez and Vidal.

This worried me. People thought we were crazy paying 27m for a left back in Shaw, think it would be even more so crazy paying 35m+ for this guy. I know nothing about him admittedly but my gut reaction to this potential move tells me it's not a great idea.

If we spend that much money on a young DM just splash it on Pogba. Guy will dominate in midfield the next century, with the right mindset and avoiding injuries.

It's € which equates to around £36m. We'd have to pay closer to double that to get Pogba.

I think we'll throw Bebe in. His stock seems to be quite high in Portugal after a decent season over there.
Sporting fans seem delighted with that idea:

Carvalho? Impressive for Portugal. Ran the show and won every challenge he went in for. Still would prefer Vidal

Bebe + 20m for Carvalho?
Nani + 35m for Vidal?

100m spent, the rest on a reliable CB and an up and coming one? 30-40m? Then round it all off with a winger Sanchez 30m? Spent 170-180m spent. Back into contention
