That twitter account quoted as the source has about 300 followers, and nothing about Hernandez asking to leave on her TL.
Van Gaal went and Hugged Chicharito after the game today apparently.
As long as we get a good fee, I'm fine with this.
Got ya
Jamez rodriguez or alexis sanchez for 40 million ?
I would take jamez. He can be our silva.
Is it me, or does that seem odd timing?
Unless he's been told he's not part of the plans next season?
Anytime under Moyes you could see it, but surely it's fresh start time?
Or does the lack of euro games and less opportunities and the VP/Rooney love in mean he has no real chance?
Got ya
Personally, I like to see tweets like that, as long as their United related I don't think it matters to much.Got ya
That rumour about Chicharito seems BS to me.

Hernandez has been here four seasons and has only been a regular starter in one of those. It's no surprise if he's immediately decisive over his future, quite understandable actually. Last season was a year that made his position at the club almost untenable IMO and our absence from European only cements that view. This is odd. Van Gaal's not even taken a single training session, Hernandez has plenty of time to prove himself. Be good if Hernandez can explain his reasoning.
The rumour is €50m, so more like £40m. Still a lot but what you'd expect to pay for a top level winger approaching his prime, particularly after a good world cup. We definitely need a new winger, if he's available we should be right in there.Don't get me wrong Sanchez is a good player but at £50 million he is over priced. By quite a lot. I wouldn't say he is one of the top 5 wingers in the world. IMO Bale, Ribery, Hazard, Robben and Di Maria are all better than him. So I would rather strengthen at the back than splash a lot of money on a player like Sanchez.

Doesn't seem to have much substance to it. The person who is reporting it hasn't even said anything on her twitter and it would be quite strange timing immediately after their knockout. It wouldn't surprise me if he leaves however and I think he will whether he forces the issue or not.I'm not sure if the stuff about a formal transfer request is true, but it wouldn't surprise me if he moves on this summer. He looks like a man who's had his fill of being on the bench and being a sub throughout the World Cup might intensify the need for him to go elsewhere for first team football, which I wouldn't begrudge him.
Good player, seems a great lad, we shouldn't undersell him if he does move on. He shouldn't be going on the cheap.

It is best for both parties if they go their separate ways. He is too good to be largely marginalised from the first team picture, but not good enough to feature frequently here. From the clubs perspective, we are unlikely to play two forwards regularly under LVG like we did under SAF and Moyes and at the age of 26 with pace being one of his few very good attributes, you have to suspect he will regress soon. He's conducted himself here exceptionally and is the consummate professional, so it might sound harsh, but his market value is probably at it's peak, so now would be the perfect time to cash in, particularly when his presence here could hinder both Welbeck and Wilson's progression.
Not that bad for Southampton

Breaking: Representatives from Man United are in Lisbon to negotiate a deal for Sporting youngster William Carvalho. [ZeroZero]
That'll be good. Reliable at all?
