There's no way we'll get Rodriguez from Monaco in the near future. Would cost an absolute fortune after this World Cup performance. We had our chance when he was still at Porto.

We also have much bigger priorities in terms of positions in the team. My muppet signing is Alexis but I don't think we'll get him (or Vidal) unfortunately.

Ronaldo won't be happy. Falcao is your typical no.9 he'll stay up top rather than Benzema who'll drop deep or go wide and make space for Ronaldo to come centrally.

Some players in exchange might help, but i wouldn't sign him.

Stiff luck for Ronaldo. The team doesn't revolve around him, although he thinks it does.

How many signings do we actually need? we are already facing headache over how to fit rooney and adding sanchez to the mix only make our problems worse.
Rooney is a striker. Sanchez is a winger and he's better than any winger we have. We need 3 or 4 more signings

I dont think so, having too many new faces to play in our preferred system would be just asking for more trouble. One cannot blame the manager in such a scenario since it takes time for the new faces to blend into a new team and environment. One more signing should be enough!

Must. Not. Hope.
We have a lot of attacking talent already, Sanchez would be a great signing but at the moment, 50mil would be much better spent elsewhere. I highly doubt we would pay 50mil for Sanchez then whack another 50mil out for Vidal. Thats forgetting about adding an extra CB as well...

You say that like spending £50m on Vidal is a given. We're not short of cash and signing Alexis probably wouldn't impact our ambitions to sign other players. He's the type of signing that would improve us instantly, like van Persie who we didn't really 'need.'

RvP cost us 20mil though.

I'm saying if we do want to sign somebody like Vidal, it will most likely set us back 50mil. We have already spent close to 100mil since January so I highly doubt we would invest 50mil on an area of the pitch that we already have a lot of talent.

Would you disagree that adding another CM and a CB should be above a winger on our list of transfers?

I do agree but I think there are certain players that you should try and sign regardless of your immediate needs if they become available.

Although I think Sanchez is a top player, I don't think he is in the tier of players that you drop your plans to accommodate.

There aren't many players in his position that are better.

I doubt we're after him. It would be yet another headache in terms of which attacker to accomodate.

I'd argue maybe just Robben is better and on par with di Maria. I might be forgetting some players, mind.

I'd say other than those two, Bale would also be one of very few in the same category.
One of the few I forgot about along with Ribery, although I rate the other four above him. I genuinely don't think I could put them in a top 5 order, they're very close in terms of talent and what they individually provide.

Needs to leave Monaco for me, he is wasted in that league.
he will be world class..but he wont be the level of messi or ronaldo imo because he doesnt have pace. they have something extra. hes more of a david silva/iniesta kind of player.

If it was Sanchez I'd happily have no more new signings and say it was a brilliant window for us and be happy to wait for next window for a centre mid and centre half.

Has something changed on the site? Embedded tweets aren't showing up on my Xperia anymore :(

Rooney RVP and Sanchez

Mata
Carrick Herrera

Shaw Evans Smalling Rafael
DDG

I don't see the headache that's a very capable team add a centre half like Hummels and Strootman in midfield over the next few windows and its a top tier team in Europe capable of competing against anyone.
