People just assume he's going to play 3 5 2 because he is doing it with the Netherlands. We could end up seeing his AZ 4 4 2 for all we know, or stick with 4 2 3 1.

VI reports Southampton have officially enquired about Feyenoord's Graziano Pelle. No offers made yet, but an eventual deal seems likely

its strange how there are no quality english central midfielders! United starting 11 could be made up of less and less british players as time goes on. worrying signs.
Nothing we can do if they're all shite though. Rather look abroad than keep donkeys like Cleverley because he's English.

Give it a year or two and Ben Pearson will be getting plenty of games here. He's got the talent to succeed and couldn't ask for a better manager than Van Gaal.
Rothwell too is an excellent talent.

Said the same day we paid £30 million for an 18 year old English full back.
and put a team together on paper and see how many british players would be in it. fergie played 4 to 5 almost every game.

Quick question related somewhat to the twitter thread...........

Are the remainder of our reported targets all in Brazil?

De Vrij, Martins Indi, Blind and Depay are with Holland = still in Brazil.

Sanchez and Vidal are with Chile = still in Brazil.

Thomas can't remember how to spell his bloody surname but I'll have a go, Vermaelen is with Belgium = still in Brazil.

Is Miranda with the Brazil squad?

Is there any names I'm missing?

Miranda isn't in the Brazil squad, and was gutted about the exclusion from what I read.

Schweinsteiger is still out there too, if you're counting him as a target.

And congrats on spelling Vermaelen correctly!

im hope so. i really like his energy and the temp of his game. but still very raw. i hope he gets a chance at a higher level soon.

It's an ok kit, the big Chevrolet logo ruins it though.

Yeah man, the logo looks so tacky doesnt it.. You'd think a major company like Chevrolet would want their flagship partner to have a great logo.

They use loads of different types as far as i can see & you could use many of these on the shirt:

My choice would have been this one though:

Forgot Schweinsteiger! Another still in Brazil there then.

So Miranda is perhaps the only credible linked target that could probably move at the moment?

And thank you!

He is. I rate Pearson as the best out of them though, including Powell.
I actually don't know which one I prefer so I'll just call them even ;) I think that both will end up better players than Powell, no disrespect I expect him to be a good player but these two are a level above a few of our graduates!

Thought it was quite funny. Considering how some reacted to the Cesc news on here.

He might get a chance sooner than we think with Van Gaal in charge. It's nice to be really looking forward to a season after last year, eh?
:) yeah. im looking fwd to seeing what he does with the team. i love the fact that he promotes youth, changes established order and is quite unpredictable. he has had bad phases at clubs and at national level too so a part of me is worried that maybe all of us are expecting great things too soon!

So, he knows it but it's just his opinion? I take it you don't have to make sense to have your tweet quoted/retweeted anymore. If you make an extremely vague, self-contradictory statement it's okay so long as you have included a few buzz words.

I suspect he means that it is only his opinion that it is a "good fit" but that he "knows he is available".

Although as ever I suspect he knows nothing.

We did that shit with Poborsky - after his chipping of the keeper in Euro 96.

We could/should have signed Nedved instead of that muppet. Could never understand the Poborsky signing & still cant to this day..

One moment of class & Fergie went after him. He must have been pissed up on Vin Rouge in his Riviera Villa & got on the blower to that f*ckbag Kenyon to buy him. Reminds me of that scene in "Taken" with Liam Nesson, where a load of arabs are bidding for the girl of the hour:

"More wine you c*nt.. hurry up.. pour quicker.. that was some goal eh laddie? Now f*ck off - i've an important phone call to make ffs.."

"Pete - get that laddie Poor Borstel Boy.. or whatever the f*ck his name is.. triffik player.."

:lol::lol::lol:
This whole scene I can imagine every word

Our good looks quotient has certainly improved leaps and bounds since Ed took over.

Felliani, Mata, Herrera and Shaw.

Claims in Spain today that Manchester United are still providing competition to La Liga's big two for Toni Kroos.

Well the girls think he is good. I saw a "marry me Felliani" twice during the world cup so far. At least with his hair and all he has something about him.

That was a guy holding that sign up wasn't it? I'll try find the picture.

Saw this earlier but ignored it because Kroos rumours have been completely dead for so long:

Feels like it's worth a mention after your post from sport witness though

Yeah I think I saw that, but glossed over it.

Watch this space.

Another player still in Brazil for a start.

Why would City go for Vidal? Fernando, Fernandinho & Toure. I dont see the need for another brutal midfielder.

Nope but like I said, thought it was funny considering what some of our fellow caftards were like when Cesc joined Chelsea.

"Why weren't we in for him FFS!" etc.

Liverpool moving rapidly in the transfer market. Deals for Origi & Lallana almost done and now a move for Benfica's Lazar Markovic too.

Good bit of business imo. That Origi looks very exciting. They've moved on a long way from the likes of Stuart Downing & Charlie Adam.

Think Bob Cass was going off the fact Moyes put in all the ground work for the 2 of them players. I doubt we'll get Kroos now, I wouldn't be bothered if we got Vidal instead but that's a long shot, we'll probably hold out for Strootman.

I found this one hysterically funny! No one in their right minds would put up 100 mill for Suarez right now!

Liverpool are ready to sell Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez (27) to Barcelona if they get a transfer fee of 100M. [daily mail]
